I see no reason to panic over the Jack rerun, and I wouldn't unless we knew it was boosting Toonami's ratings. But it isn't. :fap: Lupin at 2:00 is obviously a bad decision, but maybe they see something in Tokyo Ghoul that we don't. One show has to go there, and neither of the two likely candidates would make people happy..

The thing you have to remember is, this is a free show, and it hasn't really been increasing Toonami's ratings as opposed to Attack on Titan S1. This is why I think Jack getting a rerun is somewhat more sensible.

Same. I hated how repetitive it was. You could probably edit it into a supercut that's less than ten minutes long. And what content wasn't repeated simply wasn't good.

I'm not sure if you ever said that up until the actual ending. All I remember was mild gushing over it being a good choice for the block, unless I'm misremembering it. :poop:

I wouldn't call Jack's ending a downer. Despite not getting the girl, he actually found some inner peace after saving the world. Bittersweet, maybe, but I thought it was good enough. ThunderCats ending being the worst because of how it turned out on a prematurely-ended rerun doesn't make sense. I agree with the sentiment on Deadman, though. The ending, and the second half of the show in general, was mucho disappointing. And Parasyte's ending just bugs me. Shinichi got off pretty well, I guess, but what was the whole point of making a mess of the local population and killing presumably hundreds of people just so this one guy could learn a lesson in humanity? I don't get it.

Meanwhile, my goddamn state gets both Boruto and that Bastard Magic Instructor show. -_'

It certainly bolsters the theory that something new will air at 11:00 but it's not ready yet, hence Jack's position as a placeholder.

Actually, [adult swim] is doing that, but on Sundays. A full hour of S5 Jack alongside the existing Toonami rerun, and it starts this weekend.

Eh... it's been 90 days already, and you never posted a follow-up to this. It's been sticking in my head for a while now. Any time soon would be nice, though. And don't forget to do one for 180 days as well.

Maybe Lupin was intended for MoMoCon the same way Parasyte was intended for SDCC before the damn food truck got in the way. And, like I've said before, if they were going to air something new at 11:00, it would have been said prior to this. Because you can't just drop a new show announcement a week before it premieres at the top slot. Hitherto, it probably is the Jack rerun. That is what they might end up clarifying. Or perhaps it could be a placeholder, like Brian said. Either way, I'm not going to hold my breath for Friday's panel.
