  1. Without Gman to bounce his nuanced anger off of, he must be bored all day, yesterday.
  2. And the test dub back in 2014 started out with the first three episodes of Stardust Crusaders rather than Phantom Blood.
  3. Maybe they're just trying to get a rise out of people?
  4. Figured I might as well pump this here for a change of pace: Ghost in the Shell: SAC, a classic [asa] favorite, will return to the block in February once One-Punch Man reruns end. Click.
  5. Uh... okay. I have two questions about this. One, is this coming back in to take advantage of the upcoming GiTS movie? And two, considering that Manga Entertainment (probably technically Anchor Bay) is about to re-release the whole series on Blu-ray, will they be getting getting brand new HD-ified tapes from them?
  6. As long as they're cheaper than marathons...
  7. That's right! Catch the entire show (starting with episodes 1-5 until Wednesday) for free all this week. Plan accordingly, and you might not even have to watch any of the upcoming marathon. You could just stay for Scavengers and then check out to your Christmas sleep. :
  8. The 20th anniversary Toonami block will have the premiere of Sand Whale & Me and probably nothing else. Also, why bother with the Friday Toonami block when you can air the same old lineup plus two live action shows and get better ratings for less effort? :-*
  9. So in this episode, they discussed .hack//SIGN, and there was a brief Dragon Ball Super teaser. I won't go into detail since I didn't watch it, but that sounds like exciting stuff.
  10. Kantai Collection #5 (rewatch) High School of the Dead OVA: Drifters of the Dead Space Ghost Coast to Coast: "Telethon" and "Snatch" (with the Colonial Man ending)
  11. Well, they don't have to be music videos, even if that might help. And in a Toonami first, this one is leading off the block.
  12. But don't forget to force the other guests at your New Year's party to watch it, too. : In the long term, I could see short animated programs like this being a low-cost solution to the dreaded movie problem. Just stick new content in front of a marathon, and suddenly, a few thousand people will have no choice but to tune in.
  13. This popped up on the "enhanced backdoor" schedule, so I felt like sharing it with you. If you've been following Crunchyroll's Twitter account for as long as ten seconds, you've probably heard of this. It's a collaboration between this company and some dude who's a musician and the brother of a Polygon employee. I don't know better than that. It'll follow Scavengers in the "Cool Animated Shorts Starting with the Letter S" category. Check for it in the very first minutes of 2017... or, you know, just watch it here.
  14. Super is the bigger overall property, so that will probably get previewed first. Maybe as early as later this week, on 12/17.
  15. Now I want to find out the context behind that... In other news, it's about that time of the yearly media cycle, so get ready for another Q&A episode in advance of DB Super's premiere.
  16. Wow. Close to half a million people decided not to watch the action-packed episode of JoJo's? That's a sucker punch to the soul.
  17. Yup. The brand is ubiquitous all around New England.
  18. Well those certainly sound like interesting ideas, Poke. I'd certainly like to read the script for Nibai Mugendai, and then we could gush over how you'd rate the show. As for me, I actually created a pretty elaborate little fantasy world featuring both fictional people living in an alternate version of this world, and the media they consume. Between [adult swim] shows, chiptune artists, and anime, I really fleshed it out. I've decided to put it on hold for some period of time because I'm not sure how they'd react to recent real world events, but I still think about them occasionally. I probably have about half a dozen rough concepts for shows as a part of that world. But most of all...
  19. =L [that's... like, the ultimate forum faux pas] [also, my 100th post here]
  20. I've basically lost the will to go on with OP since the latter half of Thriller Bark has been so ungodly sloooooooow. But it's ending in a few episodes, so I'll probably try to put more effort in soon enough.
  21. My personal favorite ad that's popular right now is the one about taxes featuring Bob Eubanks. The way he mangles the pronunciation of "refund" is always good for a laugh. Between that and the relentless deluge of Taco Bell spots, Toonami seems to know exactly what content I crave.
  22. Good job saying this when One Piece doesn't have a Kai equivalent.
  23. I really don't read nor write anime fanfiction... but I have had an idea to write an original anime-inspired story.
  24. How in the shit was this not already made? Was OwlChemist slacking off or something another? Anyway, episode. Probably rated TV-MAV. Discuss.
  25. Huh... that sounds nice. I do hope they end up doing that for all the other titles Crunchyroll planned on doing themselves, like Kabaneri. It'll help take a load off of Funi's shoulders.
