  1. A day that will live in infamy. Even the wildest of [WORD]chemist crackpot theories couldn't have predicted this. Both of these shows plus Gundam Unicorn are coming right at the start of the year, so Toonami must have improved managing their budget compared to last year. At this point, there's no telling how far they'll try to take the block.
  2. Either we make a new thread, or we could easily do that.
  3. I'd like to know if they just got inked the contract for this recently if it's been bubbling for a long time. You know they wouldn't have said Gundam Unicorn would air at 1:00A if they were negotiating Super for 11:30. So there may very well be another show coming.
  4. Bakuon!!, Episode 7: "Culture Festival!!" [horny on main... fire emoji]
  5. And if it's the worst JoJo has to offer, I'm super pumped to see what the rest of the show brings.
  6. Well, you know. This show had actual business consequences for [as], not the least of which included Brett Gelman saying he'd never work with them again, so that probably explains the decision.
  7. ShowBuzz numbers for 12/3 are up. Read them and continue on with your leisurely delusions.
  8. That sounds like a good idea, but you're implying that Disney will think of the show as a failure and not renew the contract after two years. =K
  9. http://splitsider.com/2016/12/adult-swim-cancels-its-alt-right-show-million-dollar-extreme/ I guess the show's controversy ended up being the end of it, especially considering the office infighting. This will certainly be a strange chapter in [adult swim] history. And one that will probably be forgotten by the network itself.
  10. [move]Quick bits; with quicker hits; here's the list...[/move] JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Zeppeli's death certainly made "Sorrowful Successor" a fitting episode title. And how nice of him to pass on his most powerful skills to Jonathan. Also, why did Speedwagon just sit there and watch in horror as the BDSM-fueled antics and torso decapitation just happened? But I liked the episode, which seems to be ratcheting the tension upward as Phantom Blood nears its end. Hunter x Hunter: I guess Gon couldn't beat the Spike Spencer-voiced(?) spinning top dude, but he made a good fight out of it and continued his advancement of learning nen and such. Wing reacted to it like a jerk, though. I'm also curious to see where this new plot with Kurapika goes. One Piece: Boring as shit. [as] Animated Specials: I'll be honest, none of these specials look particularly appealing to me (but maaaaybe Apollo Gauntlet, based on what I've heard of the premise). But I enjoyed Mr. Neighbor's House enough to give another night of pilots a shot. Joe Pera Helps You Find The Perfect Christmas Tree: I still need to watch him talk me to sleep. I haven't done so mostly because I'm waiting for just that opportunity. Cornholed ReclusiveLemming Upload: " ", by 4mat.
  11. I think you care too much. Either Trump's presidency will go on with only decent chaos, or we'll be publicly executing the mentally ill by the end of the decade.
  12. At this point, I think 1.5 million is the new high water mark... maybe a few hundred thousand better, I don't know.
  13. But movies are expensive. You should know that already.
  14. BTW, Children Who Chase Lost Voices is available for me on Xfinity, at least. It showed up in a special Toonami folder which seems to have all the latest hotness.
  15. Kantai Collection #3 (rewatch) BAKUON!! #7 Studies In Pessimism (by Arthur Schopenhauer): Chapters 1-4 [for God is God, and I am I]
  16. Aside from JoJo's not airing on New Year's Eve (if they were doing the special event to begin with), I'm happy with these choices. Even a third DBZ Kai marathon is okay, because it could be the last time the show airs on our block.
  17. Ignoring the fact that they could make it in Japan without any foreign correspondent's involvement. Also, he was in a broadcast dub that's currently running (Izetta), but based on the article, he's already been replaced.
  18. Yeah, it sucks. I'd rather them be airing two HxHs. But I guess it's part of the tradition after them having aired just two JoJo's total before a marathon weekend.
  19. So the on-air schedule finally updated, and we have Toonami schedules for the next two weeks of December, including the 17th. All I'll say about that one is... if you were expecting a replay of Children Who Chase Lost Voices, prepare to be disappointed.
  20. Here's something I'll say up front: I never actually read the Intruder 2 comic. Mostly because other people said it sucked. As for Trapped, I do feel genuinely enthusiastic about that one, so I'll get to it eventually.
  21. Ouche. With ratings this bad, they'll probably go back to airing a Thanksgiving marathon in 2017. Though really, the whole of November of this year has been down. So who (or what) do we blame for this? [probably not politics]
  22. I'll give DeMarco credit for sticking to the platitudes. He wants to make Gundam popular again, and even airing a mediocre series in the eyes of Toonami's fans won't dent his aspirations. As for the poll, I picked Mob Psycho 100 if only because there's adequate evidence to suggest that it's already coming to the block.
  23. Woah, holy crap. I posted my thread one second earlier. Talk about a snipe. [but I'm not sure if you can delete threads]
  24. Now, what was this DeMarco said about there being a permanent Gundam slot...? Well then.
