its a podcast, its kind of hard to describe. They do politics and current events, from a socialist perspective, in the most irreverent sarcastic and offensive way possible, probably while drunk and high. Which is basically the only way I can consume news now without wanting to kill something. This is the last episode they did, the first 20 minutes or so is them rambling about the new harley quin movie.

not sure, it was either the time I had a 4th of july firecracker display explode in my face as a child, or when the middle of my right foot was impaled by a 2 inch long carpentry nail, or last Christmas when I had a panic attack so bad my ab muscles contracted and stayed there fore 3 days. which I didn't even know was possible.

I was trying to be as apolotical as possible given the folder this is in, obviously the people the blame are women, specifically feminists as they define the term which is an absurd caricature equivalent to and often literally the smiling jew image. Contrapoints did probably the most in depth and sympathetic exploration of this i have seen. though chapo's version was funnier.

follow up, I managed to survive school, a 2 hour car ride, back and forth twice, on route 93, and slept soundly and unmedicated, (because I'd already taken them) for the first time in ages. Woke up early, went to the gym with my gf, and had a productive day. I took the right chemicals this morning.

I ingest a number of proscribed chemicals through the day to regulate my faculties and body processes, and I accidentally took the wrong set this morning, now I'm fucked up on all the pills that make me pass out, had to take my uppers just to stay awake and my mental and physical state is now akin to two drunks trying to hold each other up. My physics lecture this afternoon is going to be fun... Also have to drop off my better half in Quincy at 6 so she can help send books to prisoners because she's a wonderful human being who is super into charity. I will be consuming at least 350ml's of coffee prior to engaging with route 93 south.

I got one, in addition to paying a 90% income tax and a 70% inheritance tax, all billionaires should have to bow and say "I'm an evil rich asshole and I don't deserve my money" everytime they appear in public. Also a reverse primae noctis law whereby all rich people can be cucked at the discretion of their employees. Oh, and the entire cast of MSNBC (with the exception of Chris Hayes.) should be publicly canned in central park.

I mean I appreciate that. I always thought the point of logic was to try to figure out what's true, and that debate is a way to test your conclusions. That's why my views have actually changed and evolved over time. Ideology should come from perceived reality, not determine it. You have people like Ben Shapiro out there willing to affirm the ideas that most people in my demographic, (white coded cis het guys) find appealing or reassuring, and we just go with it because it makes us feel good. Its the opposite of what you are trained to do in science, which is to assume you are wrong, and try to prove the thing you think is wrong, only accepting it as true if you fail to do so. No one's perfect, I mean I've had some pretty stupid takes over the years. But I tried to figure shit out, and I think its paid off in the long run.

just throwing this out there, ben shapiro and people like him base literally everything they think and say on emotion. its all feels over facts with them, if you press them hard enough they have no objective scientific basis for anything. Also there is another Ben, (Ben Burgis) and he's better with the logic stuff

Yup pretty much, laplaces deamon and all that. at least the process is so complicated most people can delude themselves into thinking they have free will, which is only a problem when they decide they have the right to murder someone who was driven to commit a crime by the way they all permitted them to be raised, like the irrational ape creatures we are. I'm talking about capital punishment if that wasn't clear.
