Just got done helping my gf get into a job training program and squared a course I have to take with one of my professors because unfortunately I am still in school, the less said about that the better.

My actual name is Giuliano Taverna, and yes for a while that was my profile name on the old boards, the mods legit did not think it was my real name. They banned me after they found out so I went back to my original profile. I am rather fond of my name, but Nautius Maximus is my barfleet name and I'm kind of proud of that too, plus I got it around the same time I joined here. I also answer to Caesar, God, God Emperor, and super kami.

Its alright, I made some myself a couple of days ago, had the rest of it for lunch. I've been drinking a lot of tea and juice as well. It sucks because its really nice out and I can think of quite a few things I'd rather be doing.

Half the people in this thread apparently don't know that instant ramen noodles are not in fact the only version of ramen in existence. Now, as for the real stuff, haven't tried making it myself yet. I ought to though. still perfecting my curry recipe.

I get drunk in public places, specifically parties and conventions. Kills the nerves and lubricates my rhetoric. I'd say half of the people I have as friends were acquired that way. Throwing parties also helps, but that's more of a thing you do when you already have enough committed friends that at least 10 of them will actually show up, but once that critical mass is achieved, parties are a great way to maintain and deepen friendships. Just don't be stingy, a good party probably runs me about 400 bucks, half for food, and half for booze. I throw one about once a year. Also basic stuff like proper hygiene, decent attire, and it helps to be well read on a variety of subjects. That way you can follow conversations that you might otherwise have nothing to add to.

I've done Manhattan, its pretty nice from what I remember, traffic is abysmal though, don't expect to get anywhere fast except on foot.

That is why its best to have a close circle of friends and to exclude assholes.

You'd be surprised, I throw yearly drinking parties at my parents house, which is actually the same building the apartment is part of, its sectioned off. The one coming up this august will be the first one primarily encompassing my new apartment, the renovated basement, and the back yard where I hope to install a smoke pit in which I will smoke an entire pig. I'm calling it the feriatum Augusti, or feast of Augustus. So far no one has suffered alcohol poisoning, though there have been many hangovers, none suffered by yours truly of course. I generally keep an eye on everything to maintain some semblance of order, people have more fun when fewer of them are puking.
