That sounds like a conclusion I could only come to if I was huffing pure DMT.

Pizza is an anything goes field if you ask me. If you can't handle that you need to get the f out of the kitchen and work your own personal pizza.

That was a joke bud... I'm just saying that's kind of how it works. There's always gonna be a bigger kid there , I've known plenty of bus drivers myself. If older bigger children don't want the bus stopped, dispatch called, and a possible police intervention that might delay their ride home for like a half hour they'll break a fight up. Proper judgement has to be used though in those kind of situations though I agree. Yeah I worked in corrections for a year. -

Well I mean I'm used to being in a position were I'm pretty much screwed if I get involved my self.. it's different as a correctional officer because inmates don't get as much outside sympathy as kids do, but that wouldn't bother me.. I'd be getting paid by the hour anyway, and I'll let them know it doesn't bother me to have to stop the bus, and get behind. I mean usually students are more than ready to go the fuck home, and stopping the bus isn't getting them home any faster than it's getting me there. Also I may not be able to hit the kids, but if worst comes to worst that doesn't mean I can't pay another kid to do it for me.. I wouldn't do that unless I thought it was necessary like some of the instances talked about in that cracked article though. Also as a skateboarder that's going to be working my local area I'm pretty sure I'm going to meet some kids I already know that'll take my side. I've already looked after, and took a lot of the kids home that needed rides at the skatepark. -

Yeah there is something that might stop me then, but there's only one way to find out. -

choking on my elated pride.. Ok lovecraft. -
I don't know why but sometimes I enjoy it.. Maybe I just enjoy the tast of ranch dressing. I think the bread of the pizza provides a nice base for it for lack of better words.

One was an online course going over insurance by laws and policies..and this packets to study for a class b commercial driving test. I havent really looked at it much, but it's all the rules and regulations for the written or online test portion. Nothing too crazy I guess. -
I feel like there's more exceptions probably.. If someone comes to my door representing a company, and I'm actually in the market or have a need for their product I'll buy it honestly if I can vet it against competing companies/services and I feel the deal is right. The problem is a lot of companies that do that have scripts they're supposed to follow or a whole bunch of propaganda to load you down with, and I know that.. (which is more or less scamming I agree) Like this company for example sent me a folder that had some scripts for it's reps to follow that were pretty stupid.. If someone says they're not interested according to this script they still want you to try to promote the product, and tell them all about it somehow. That's just not me. One of the only reasons I accepted the job offer was so I could get a look at the contract, and see if they had any kind of hybrid pay/ benefits..and I didn't like what I saw.

I think all the interviews and different study material I've recieved over the last two weeks worked up a nice case of anxiety/depression for me. I thought about getting some to go food or something somewhere, but just ended up coming home with a jack link's beef/cheese stick, and a soft drink. -
Close enough.. That's awesome. I forget that there is a pretty big market for them..

I'm down.. Do ostrich farmers sell whole ostriches?

That's a pretty optimistic thought anyway. At this point if I do this my main focus is going to be passing all the drivers tests, and getting the license anyway.. That lady said I probably wouldn't be working until August anyway ofcourse. So I'll need another friggin part time at least to make this work. Unlike the last job offer I had I actually don't see much of a reason not to give this a try though at least.. For the license endorsement, and driving experience if nothing else. -
I used to when I was younger.. and I started doing it again, but with movie streaming lately.. I think that's been pushing me past my providers data cap though so I'm trying to cut that out. I havent had any bill increases, but I only use wifi/data, and the shit I have is already pricey.. I've been looking into finding a solution to this issue actually. I hate data caps Also I mean the shit's went up anyway.. but they usually say it's because the taxes go up or some shit.

I mean part of me likes challenges like that.. but I remember being a kid, and though I was always respectful to the bus drivers if I had to even take the bus I remember what kind of dumb ass shit kids could manage to do on even a short trip.God. I think I remember seeing a girl bleeding out because she got cut with a pencil.. or that's what the kids around her had said anyway.. I think I remember the driver lady screaming if anyone had a knife they better tell her now. I knew that bus driver.. and even hung out with her daughter later on in life.. but I would not want to have been her in that position. From what I've been reading a lot of companies don't even let you take them to the hospital it's either home..or a school nurse/ medical facility, and back on the road. That article I posted above pretty much covers it all though I think. -
They weren't really pissed, and I agreed over the phone I'd listen to what that guy had to say and that I'd think about it a bit more while I was studying for the state exam you're required to pass to even sell insurance.. I have learned about a lot of the investing loop holes involved in different insurance policies, and also all the laws surrounding fraudelent practices (etc) so I can't consider it a complete loss.. Plus by the way it sounded over the phone I may be still able to jump into this if I do want to in the future since I've been so open with everything. (not that I see myself doing that)

I actually get a lot around here. They're usually from surveilence/home renevating type companies though I did let this older guy schedule an appointment to talk to me about life insurance..Just don't peg me for the gullable type because it's always curiousity more than anything that makes me give them a chance because like you guys I feel the whole door to door thing is really and outdated practice.. and I like to hear what the sales reps are going around feeding people. Most of these companies that do it here are actuallly pretty well to do companies.. The sales reps they have pedaling around I'm not too sure about though. At any rate it's definitely not my cup of tea.
-
It was just one of those things I had to go with my gut on.. and if it wasn't for the hiring manager, and the sales rep she freaking sent back to my house to try to convince me to stick with it I would've already cut my ties.. I do have more money saved up than some.. Definitely not enough to be comfortable with this level of contracting in a field I'm expected to learn completely from scratch and fend for myself in though.
-
This is the last job related rant or post I'll make I get no one really cares anyway.. It just feels inherently like the wrong thing to do to decline a job offer and especially one I initially applied for and accepted, but I made my reservations known fairly early I think. The hiring manager still seemed to try to convince me to give it a try even though I brought up the fact that I just didn't feel prepared for the traveling, and unreinbursed personal expenses involved in this door to door insurance gig. What else could I do though except let them know I no longer felt I could do it in good conscience, and try to be professional about it? I mean I didn't tell them about all the negative aspects I found out only after accepting like the fact the contract I signed gives them full control over the earnings I get when I do sell a policy, and if a customer cancels I heard they try to make you pay them back.. The negative reviews I've read online regarding the field it's self not JUST the company were pretty scary.. but since it's the hiring manager's job in a way to argue all that is fair, and reasonable I only said that after much consideration I just don't feel this type of work is right for me and I don't think I'm in the right position to be traveling 4 days a week staying in random hotels with zero promise of reinbursement.

Same. It doesn't really affect me when I do drink it as much as it does some people though.

I've heard that's what brake checks are for. I'll use my command voice.. Jokes aside I can see the kids being the hardest the part of the job.
