I started using OKCupid heavily the past couple of months. Problem is get dozens of new messages everyday and I try to answer everyone that put effort into sending a message but it's draining especially since by the time I answer everyone I have a bunch of replies and new messages again cause it took nearly an hour to sift through and properly respond to everybody. Went on four dates this past week, each with a different guy. Was hard enough working it down to people I wanted to talk to and could schedule something with since I'm so busy. Even after all that, one of them took me on a lousy date that lasted like 15 minutes. Another was good but no sparks, maybe friend material. The other two had their pros and cons but ultimately I'm back at square one and there's already 60 new people talking to me again on top of what was there before. It's absolutely exhausting.

What fresh hell is this?

I am not as well versed in their transition but as I understand, the testosterone supplements they take will naturally make their voice deeper/more manly. I honestly don't think they even have voice training. MTFs are able to train their voices because the male voice box is larger than the female one and allows them to have a much broader vocal range. It can take a lot of time to develop the female voice, though, and can only be done in small increments when they first start or they can permenantly damage their vocal chords.

Don't know that it counts but I do what I can to assist LGBT people around me. Sometimes it's just offering them a list of resources and other times I help them pay for things they need (this is predominantly for trans people). I'm trying to be a little more proactive with trans people since they need the most help, and I'm paying for two trans friends to move out here and live with me. Gonna be taking care of them until they're able to stand on their own, so to speak. And there are an additional three trans people I am working with to assist them on vocal training, among other things. Haven't done anything with in a bigger organization, though.

I'd hope they would text/call me versus spending my money. But I usually have contingencies for just such scenarios and give them back ups to buy in lieu of what I originally asked for.

There's a guy I went to high school with that is trying to be a rapper. He's really bad. Called himself the Mad Possum originally but now he calls himself Kappa Carter. I almost admire his resilience and self-esteem.
