    Xenoblade 3

In what way? There were a few hammy JRPG obligatory "we'll make our own future" stuff toward the end, but outside of that I thought it was a pretty solid ending. The side quests are generally very good and open a lot of the worldbuilding/characterization. Most of it was worthwhile, though I'm still working on the quests I missed. XC1 is my sentimental baby, however XC3 was the best on virtually every critical level. Didn't slam me emotionally as hard but Chap. 5 ended on one of the best sequences in the Xeno franchise (Xenosaga included, no XCX or Xenogears included since I haven't played or completed those respectively). Even after beating 3, I'm having a lot of fun screwing around with party composition.
  3. "Nobody forced you into doing a thing required by effectively every employer for any job paying more than minimum wage with no benefits. It was your choice to have a job market that demands nothing short of a Bachelors." Lets also ignore the highly deceptive practices used to lure people in, yeah?
  4. Yes. How are people going to pay the loans with high inflation? ....what about them?
  5. @Sawdy can you ask him to define "school grooming"?
  6. Day and life of a Kiwifarms user:
  7. Oh, now I see why Republicans are filling their pantaloons: He said, "We're going to end cancer as we know it."
  8. I got real spooked when he said we should reject political violence. That's, like, super fascistic.
  9. He seems pissed off but, like, who the fuck wouldn't be?
  10. This speech is such a nothingburger. They spent 2+ years uncovering a political conspiracy to overthrow the election and this guy waits until Trump outs himself as having stolen nuclear documents to say MAGA Republicans are trying to end democracy and we will defend it. And specifies he even believes "MAGA Republicans" to be a small but very dangerous subset. Question: Is saying "We'll defend democracy using any resource at our disposal" (how much we believe this is irrelevant the provable statements he said) after a 2+ year investigation with an insurmountable amount of damning evidence of rampant election tampering the same as building the narrative for years prior to a vote being placed without any evidence and also coming from the side that did the election tampering we, at present, have said insurmountable evidence of? So yes, I maintain the comparison is silly. Context is important. Deliberate or cowardice, it was likely the best route to wait until Trump hung himself before going public like this. I personally don't know that Biden is competent enough to weigh the timing so thoroughly, I think he's just a pussy. Like, this speech is only interesting insofar as this wimp finally addressed the braindead elephant in the room. I wasn't expecting him to even acknowledge it.
  11. He even waves like a Sieg Heil.
  12. I remember one when I looked up at the sky and started falling off the ground. I just watched the sky coming at me. But suddenly I woke up midair falling off my bed and landed on my face. Like I opened my eyes and saw the floor coming at me.
  13. He's marrying a love doll. You don't think he has some out there fetishes? More likely to bring it to Taco Bell and feed her until beans come out her nose before promptly sitting her on his face. From there they play the waiting game.
  14. Nabs, my dude, keep in mind that we're generally in agreement on the bulk of issues. Biden’s surely done enough for any government with proper checks and balances to remove him from office. He's a very bad president. The only major point of contention we have fundamentally is that I don't believe a 3rd party to be especially viable within the current system. I absolutely want a 3rd party, I just don't know by what avenue it can be achieved. I know voting Democrat isn't ideal and I don't want to support the party on a national scale (some of my local reps are pretty good, though). Overhauling the party from inside is a longshot, but I don't know what alternative there may be. I mean, maybe we'd disagree on Russia vs Ukraine, but honestly my grasp on foreign policy is a point of embarrassment. Also, yes, the Overton window has moved in an unfortunate direction. We agree on that.
  15. Fair enough. I'll have to see the speech, but a Biden speech being uncomfortably fascistic really would come as no surprise.
  16. No, that's an assumption about my intent. Remember when you were ranting about the deep state and I questioned you on it? You got mad at me for asking obvious questions, but those questions were to get to the underlying point. You used the phrase "deep state" incorrectly as a deep state is an agency not officially recognized by the government, disqualifying an agency such as the CIA from the term since it is an officially recognized agency. I asked questions because Alex Jones types, and the GOP as a whole, use "deep state" as codified antisemitism. Instead of assuming that to be the intent, I asked for clarification and it was easy enough to come to the conclusion it was not. At no point did I accuse you of being antisemitic because I didn't know if that was the intention, so I verified before alleging anything. On that subject, had I not done so, you very easily could've been dogpiled for it. I outright prevented the possibility. I simply ask for the same courtesy.
  17. But that's not what people are saying? If you're only comparing speech to speech, have at it. If it's the speech vs Trump in totality, which I thought was the point (my apologies if that was off base), that's where I'm like, "For real?"
  18. You know what, Nabs? I'm very sorry for having a family crisis last night. I know, I should've paid attention to the real important shit like a shitty Biden speech. You're right, I should've cared more about that than my mom and brother's living situation.
  19. No, I literally don't care about Trump's fucking speeches either because there are more serious issues. The entire ordeal was flipped over 2 years ago. There was a coup attempt with a massive chunk of the GOP actively participating. At no point have I suggested the speech was good or shouldn't be taken seriously. Having not watched it at present is not an insinuation of a disinterest on the subject nor to suggest, on any level, that I will not listen to the speech. You put those words in my mouth.
  20. Do you really, truly think I support their unwillingness to take legitimate action as you've outlined? .....really? Are you sure about that?
  21. This is how the Overton window works in the minds of Democrats. As long as the Republicans exist and keep doing sexy new things and opening up new frontiers in being terrible, ie Then the Dems are free to be as bad as they wanna be in the vast spaces cleared out by the dominant political party. Whatever new wild and crazy shit they wanna say or do with the police and the military and whatever will be excused away and normalized by Dem supporters, ie ....what? Quit putting words in my mouth, dude. I've been very civil with you for how many months? Almost 2 years? How about you quit assuming my positions?
  22. I think at this point people are far more concerned with the lrgitimate crimes committed moreso than a speech. I haven't heard the speech so I'm refraining from commenting on the contents specifically. I'm sure it's awful, it always is. My point is that the difference in danger of Trump should not be undercut over a speech. To be 100% clear, I think every president since I was born (possibly earlier) should've been removed from office and charged with all kinds of crimes. Biden is no savior and people don't rally behind him with the cultish fervor of the MAGA chuds. People aren't going to mindlessly fall in line with Biden. Most Americans want him to fuck off and stay out of the next election. A fascist base has to be formed through energized extremism. Yes, Biden is an extremist in the same sense that being a milquetoast corporate politician in America is an extremist role. A call to invade the capital by this brain wormed, senile old fart isn't going to excite people enough to take up arms. Democrat voters simply aren't as extreme as the politicians, MAGA voters are.
  23. Gave dubious speech = stealing nuclear documents and attempting a coup....? Come on, MD. You know that's a silly comparison.
  24. Anyone not blocked by Ginguy want to ping him on this? @katt_goddess he sometimes replies to you. I need to know what rationale we get for the FBI raid being a witch hunt with first hand testimony from Trump himself saying they spread the classified documents he had on the floor.
