The jump from NES to SNES (fine, you too Genesis, with your tin can sound chip and 28 shade color pallet...but don't get cocky) was so significant, I doubt...nay, I know gaming will never experience anything like that again. The jump from 16 bits to discs (sit down 32X and Sega CD, no one is talking to you) was very significant as well, but it was more about what could be fit into a game...not a lot on play quality... because it took a while for those polygons to be fun for me.

I want a Trapper Keeper. Not the shit they sell now, I mean cardboard encased in plastic with awesome neon 3d images like cubes and pyramids and lines descending into the background so it looks like they are flying at you, with a pencil pouch that's full of shit I never use besides the one sharpened pencil that pokes through it. Easily torn edges so that in a few weeks when I open it it's like nunchucks and sealed with a Hitler stache tuft of Velcro. And I want a text book with a book cover that I've awkwardly folded and improperly administered to the book so one side covers damn near half the inside of the book and the other barely fits around the book's corners which will surely poke out of the edges because I apparently can't follow instructions. I also want a stop sign pizza. I....is this a midlife crisis?

I watch it way too often. It's my go to when I'm trying to sleep. Seen it so many times I don't really watch it as much as I like the familiar noise.

Favorable or unfavorable, idc. I can't sleep and so I'm sitting here just kinda staring through the TV while my brain just cooks up goofy shit to keep me up. It started with DBZA, then somehow I wound up on Seinfeld. During both of these shows I was like "yup, I get it"...So before I long wind this shit. Vegeta: I will never take an L gracefully....I will get my ass kicked 50 times in a row before I just admit something has bested me. The entire time, gritting my teeth, pounding the ground and thinking "HOW....how can this be. I'M ME" George Costanza: I will fuck a good thing up, and it's always because of my ego....sometimes the lack of ego. Two episodes made me realize this. When he's in the elderly friend program and he's talking to the old guy and he's like "how do you not think about death, I'm half your age and it's all I think about" and ultimately the old guy leaves him there in his nanners death rant...tells him life is too short to waste on him The other was "God hates me, he'll never let me be happy" and someone was like "I thought you didn't believe in God" and he says "I do for the bad stuff" Just odd....an insecure ego maniac. Why am I like this.

The PS5 pro has no business costing close to a stack. And the amount of console games slowly turning into gachas with their battle passes and absurd micro transactions for basic bullshit is just a testament to the industry becoming greedy AF. I am not going to play SF6 every day just to get rewards and I'm definitely not paying 20 bucks for premium rewards like store coins, league points and the Baki emote pack. CoD is doing the same shit apparently and I hear the same is for the new Warhammer. It made sense on games like Warframe since it was free to play...of course there's premium content that you need to spend money for....but paying $70 and up for a game only to find out there's about $150 in content you need to buy just to have all the stages is diabolical. It's not even DLC to expand the game ...it's base game bullshit that you are forced to pay for just to have the complete game. Imagine going to buy a car, but it doesn't come with tires or the steering wheel. The sad part being that despite the complaints, I doubt it will ever cease. RIP gaming 2032.

You know, I may vote early for one reason. My daughter will be voting age next year and I really think I should take her with me to see the process. If I wait until the 5th, it'll likely be harder to do with the lines and possible nut jobs coming out. My paranoia about voting early isn't unfounded, but also maybe unreasonable....so when I get her from the med center after her class, I think we'll go vote today. The only thing that may hinder that is we are slated to have heavy thunderstorms tonight but hopefully the news is correct in that they won't hit until after 6pm

Handsdown, I stg... Cucumber lime is the best Gatorade flavor ever. I kinda wish other brands would try this combination. I would totally buy a cucumber lime Mio. Also, I feel like I'm the sole reason Mio is still in business.

Just to stay on topic, top 5 proud dad moments in no particular order. 1. Watching Death Note, including live action moves with my daughter. 2. Definitely teaching my son how to do a Hadoken. He can't beat me in traditional fight games but he can wreck me in Smash and Sparking 0 because the mechanics work more in his style rather than directional inputs. 3. Seeing the all A report cards from my daughter. 4. Watching the boy get better at driving (I fear I will always be the girl's chauffeur) 5. Knowing that they both think for themselves. That's always been a number one goal of mine. I like they make their own choices even if I disagree with them. That indoctrination shit is for the birds.

I pretty much only played fulgore and Glacius. Matchup knowledge wasn't a thing for me until mainstream Internet and tier lists. That shit changed fight gaming for better or worse but to me it all comes down to experience. With the current gen fighting games, I kind of struggle...one because I don't have the time to dedicate to "git gud" and the fact that I just don't bother trying to learn new characters... I'm a filthy casual now except for Tekken. I will forever hone my Tekken game.

KI2 was like my Apex of arcade play. My Glacius was impeccable. I would have my quarter on the controller base for queue but skip my turn until the 2p side was free or I would ask the winner if they were willing to switch sides. No idea why but I needed to be 2nd player. Once I got there, it took literal sweats to move me. There was a pool hall next to my high school. People would bet money on me because I was unbeatable. One day, at an Alladin's Castle at the mall, I was tearing shit up....but took an L dicking around. There was this dude that was dominating after me and I was next. Down to the wire and I combo broke his cheap ass TJ to get the win. He waited until his next turn and chose Spinal. Easy dub, I thought because I had never encountered a peak Spinal player... I was so unprepared. Got swept. I was so disappointed. I moved but the guy who was next said "no way, play my turn, I'll move to the back" .... Couldn't disappoint this guy so I did my best to adapt...still lost but took it to the wire. This moment sticks with me to this day. Bro was apparently a legend in AC, and it was that feeling of being the people's only hope. This is my favorite gaming memory that ends with a loss for me ...but he would go back to TJ when I wasn't on the stick...it was just a little satisfying that he knew not to fuck around with me

Paranoia is keeping me from voting early. It's red ass OK. I just know someone would fuck with my ballot and since there are no lines or anything of the sort, it would be easy to toss my ballot knowing fully well I didn't come in to vote for Donnie. I don't know when I got like this. I have always been a planner, but now I can't do anything without overthinking it.

Since I saw you're in Alvarado, and I'm vaguely familiar with that area, I did some poking around for you. There are far more resources centers than pawn shops there, so while I understand the lack of vehicle thing, I'd almost bet if you contact one and explain your situation, they may come to you. In TX terms, Alvarado is pretty small and with so many places willing to help, I'm sure one or a few would love to have you and your mother as recipients....even if they have to come out to assist, especially with a disability. If any are funded by the gov, the more people they help the more money they get. So win, win. And without spending money on food and other necessities, you can work on getting your stuff out of pawn. I think it's at least worth a shot.
