This reminds me of a time I was camping with friends. Me and my gf along with two other people had shown up a day before everyone else to get things set up and because we had that day free to begin with. It was getting late and three of us were sitting around the fire and the fourth was in his tent making sure everything was ready when we hear this sound from the woods. It was a loud stomping and sounded like something large was out there. Suddenly this barefoot chick stumbles out of the darkness asking if we know where some guy was. She nearly fell into our fire several times. We told her the person she was looking for was not here. She walks away and we thought she left. than we here our friend yell because she scared the crap out of him. He basically chased her out of his tent. Than she stumbles over to my tent and we keep telling her the guy she is looking for is not in that tent. Finally she gets it and she wonders off into the night. About ten minutes later we here a car alarm going off and we joke that it was her looking for her friend.
