Ever since this news broke, I have been mentally kicking myself relentlessly for never taking the chance to get to know her as well as I could/should have.

In comes Scoob with yet another truth bomb! Although, some of Metallica’s music isn’t pure metal. There is some traditional rock and ballads, and one (from what I’ve heard) poppy album they did with Lou Reed. I still refuse to listen to that one, to this day.

You have completely hit the nail on the head with this post. This song is right in the middle when it comes to Metallica. As far as Motorhead goes, I’ve never hated them but I’ve never really liked them either. As much as I hate to speak ill about the dead, Lemmy’s voice was always a little too one-note for me. Especially in their cover of “Enter Sandman”.

I just hope alternate me is worry-free.

I’m gonna have to disagree with you there. I do admit that it’s generic and severely overplayed, but it still holds a place in my heart for being the song that introduced me to Metallica as a kid. For that reason, I cannot justifiably say that it’s a bad song.

Now, this is a respectful criticism that I can fully get behind and agree with. I can’t argue with the fact that “Enter Sandman” was pretty generic and horribly overplayed. Also, being a huge Metallica fan, even I have to admit that none of their albums is perfect from start to finish. “One”, however, is and always will be one of my all-time favorite songs.

I fully understand and take back what I said. Hearing any song that much would drive most people insane. However, I do have to say one last thing: I’m sorry, but no fucking way is Motorhead better than Metallica. No disrespect to Motorhead, but…. I mean…..come on……

It was just one can of Yoohoo with a small shot of liqueur, and it was actually earlier this afternoon. I’m not usually an afternoon drinker, though. It was more of a spur-of-the-moment “Hmm…I wonder how this would be?” kind of thing.
