Cold, tired, and a little melancholy, if I’m brutally honest.

I found a $2 bill today. Haven’t seen one of those in….probably over 20 years. I mean, it’s just $2, but it was still a pretty cool find.

Oh, where to start with this one? My siblings and I began the process of cleaning out our parents’ house so that we can eventually sell it, or whatever we ultimately decide to do with it. We’re coming across a lot of things that we grew up with, but have no use for anymore, other than nostalgia. Most of it is going in the trash for what should be obvious reasons. But my mind apparently doesn’t do obvious reasons. My mind sees this as throwing most of my past life away, and I am not okay with that. I know this probably doesn’t make a bit of damn sense. I’m just tired and venting. I think I’ll try to go to bed early tonight…..

If you think I’m exceptionally quiet, the problem is you. I just have little to no interest in talking to you.

I reach into my fridge for a bottle of Gatorade and…..it’s frozen solid. I’m thirsty, dammit.

Memories are tricky. The bad ones just bring up shit that needs to stay buried. And a lot of the good ones are just a cold reminder of things that never will be again. Eh…don’t mind me. It’s just been a day.

Having spaghetti tonight.

I’m becoming somewhat of a master of rage-quitting video games in my middle-aged years.
