LAZARUS EPISODE 6 DISCUSSION!!
Dark_Cloud_Overhead replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Episode Discussion Archive
Since there's no other new stuff on tonight, I went back and rewatched the episode a bit, cuz it seemed to have a couple of weird coincidences to me. First they just happen to find a clue that leads them to Elaina's old home, and then they just so happen to arrive right before they're going to have the "holy festival" where they're all going to kill themselves off. It would make sense if they knew about hapna and figured they were going to die soon anyway, but given how they're cut off from the outside world seems there's no way any of them would have taken it. I suppose it's possible though that maybe Skinner still had some type of control over the AI and decided to have it order them to die so they wouldn't escape his plan to kill people off. As to Elaina... Have they mentioned how old she is? Probably a stretch, but she mentioned she didn't know who her father was, so... could it be Skinner? She'd have to be fifteen, so I dunno. I was thinking she was a bit older than that. -

Not far off from something I read recently about a billionaire wanting to start a new religion where he envisions letting AI decide what decisions are best for people's health, centered around the idea that the body is God. -

Nobody questions what a enormous coincidence it is that happens to be where she grew up? Really? -

Nope, because he's a Sox fan. I mean c'mon now though. Cubs already got their win this century. Don't be greedy. Just wait till the next one. -
I'm sure it's just a matter of time before they come up with something more serious for this, though it won't be because he at all wants to save Hollywood. He just wants to inflict enough pain on it to force it to heel and accept some type of government oversight that'll no doubt be about who they can hire or imposing certain restrictions on what type of content they can include. Just another part of the never-ending, ever more ubiquitous culture war of theirs. First the Kennedy Center and the museums, then the schools, and now this. It's no secret that Hollywood has been a big driver of cultural change in this country, and to a lesser extent worldwide. Only figures that with their so called war on woke they'd eventually go after it.

Just wait. At this rate it won't be long before someone simply sneezing in another country in our general direction will be considered a national security threat, and he'll demand we build a giant sneeze guard around the entire nation. We'll be the country-sized version of the bubble boy then. Only it won't do any good because he's the worst germ there is, and he's already inside.

Star Wars Skeleton Crew 1 - 3 The Goonies vibe is strong with this one. Really though, even some of the music in this feels like it was straight lifted right out of Goonies to me, I swear. Not that I'm at all complaining. I mean, when you got a droid that talks like a pirate, how can you not love that?.

No idea. Guess Law just knew where to hit him. Either that or maybe that spinning blade technique was specially designed to cut through the goop to reach his real body somehow.

Figured his string power meant his body was probably able to do some weird shit, too. Basically seems like he can self heal pretty much any injury I guess. Means probably only way to beat him is to hit him with an attack so massive it totally KOs or kills him instantly so he can't use his power to restore himself.

Afraid? No. Sure. Yeah. If he was really done for with just this, then we wouldn't get to see Luffy kick his ass. Now that would be a travesty.

Nice to see we're finally getting some relatively new stuff. Crap though, now I gotta marathon the first season of Blue Exorcist so I can refresh myself before they start airing season 2. -

Just gonna waltz right in through the front door. LOL Of course, why not? -
Destination X Just sort of a preview half episode, but I've seen enough to know I'm definitely watching this when it starts later this month. Looks like kind of a cool mix of Big Brother and Amazing Race. Granted I've only ever watched like one season of each of those shows, but Jeffrey Dean Morgan as host... as a long time Walking Dead fan there's no way I'm missing that.

Always knew their end goal was to eventually extend the brainwashing to all the children, just never thought they'd ever be this blatant and open about it. At least not this soon. Shame is truly dead with these people.

https://kfor.com/news/local/were-citizens-oklahoma-city-family-traumatized-after-ice-raids-home-but-they-werent-suspects/ Forced a woman and her three daughters, guns to their faces, outside in their underwear, while it was raining, took their money and phones and stuff as "evidence", and one of them had to gall to tell her before they left "I know it was a little rough this morning." Ya think? Ehh, maybe just a smidge? Add this to the threatening letters they've been sending "by mistake" to US citizen immigration attorneys ordering them to leave the country, and shows what you get when you have people running the government with zero accountability for screwing stuff up.
