That card wasn't exactly my first choice either but if I can get some good black friday deals it'll give me some wiggle room. I was going to get a 1660ti but the slight performance increase didn't seem worth the extra $30 or so. Like I said earlier, I won't be attempting anything over 1080p 60fps for a long while, if ever, so I don't need an insane gpu.

I'm aware of all that but I'm not sure how often I'll request refunds. I USUALLY know what I'm buying.

My biggest caveat is the lack of physical media. I'm not a collector by any means but I like getting something to hold in my hands when I fork over $60+. Plus there's no way to recoup any of my losses should I buy something I end up not liking or don't plan on playing again. Then again, most likely something I want to play will always be on sale and I can reserve full price purchases for games I just have to have day one (FFXVI, I'm looking at you).
