ASSHOLE!!! -
My thoughts exactly. If SAO is the quintessential "isekai", the parts which make it more "isekai" than others are the first arc (Aincrad) and the current arc (Alicization). Though one thing that makes SAO unique is its reliance on activities both in the "real" world, which is more of a slice-of-life, and the virtual world, which is definitely shonen action-oriented. IN OTHER NEWS, ProgrammingInsider FINALLY updated their Saturday 10/19/19 page to include pre-Toonami ratings. They are as follows: Bob’s Burgers (repeat) (ADSM, 9:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.360 million viewers (#80) • 0.22 HH (#73) • 0.15 A18-49 (#37) • 0.13 A18-34 (#21) • 0.15 A25-54 (#62) Family Guy (repeat) (ADSM, 9:30 PM, 30 min.) • 0.556 million viewers (#50) • 0.34 HH (#51) • 0.23 A18-49 (#15) • 0.20 A18-34 (#9) • 0.24 A25-54 (#24) Family Guy (repeat) (ADSM, 10:00 PM, 30 min.) • 0.662 million viewers (#39) • 0.41 HH (#42) • 0.29 A18-49 (#7) • 0.27 A18-34 (#7) • 0.30 A25-54 (#12) Genndy Tartakovksy PRIMAL (repeat) (ADSM, 10:30 PM, 30 min.) • 0.499 million viewers (#58) • 0.31 HH (#58) • 0.23 A18-49 (#15) • 0.25 A18-34 (#8) • 0.24 A25-54 (#24) Read more: https://programminginsider.com/saturday-final-ratings-american-league-championship-series-clinching-victory-by-astros-over-yankees-is-top-fs1-telecast-in-two-years/ Dragon Ball Super actually got a high 0.23 in Adults 18-49, almost a 0.24, so it's most likely that it gained from PRIMAL. Meanwhile, we don't know what it did in 18-34 or 25-54, but One-Punch Man only lost a hundredth in 18-34 but 0.03 in 25-54. Finally, Super kept pace with PRIMAL in total viewers even better this week than last. I think it's not too far-fetched to expect it to overtake it either tonight or next week.

Episode #10: A Flimsy Alliance What the hell is Tsukasa up to?! Find out tomorrow night (10/26-27) at Midnight!!! ONLY TOONAMI!!! -
Keep in mind the 3-Peat of the final episode of PRIMAL will be leading-into this. It wouldn't surprise me, however, if, beginning on November 16th, they start running Dragon Ball Super SOMEWHERE on the lineup from the beginning, either 9 PM or 10:30 PM (which theoretically would expand Toonami to 10:30). Alternatively, we've only got a few episodes left of Lupin so its reruns COULD go there. But even if it doesn't last, we've got ONE week of Toonami with NO Dragon Ball shows!! And also, finally, an 11 PM Superheroes Hour!!!

Here's the thing about gen:LOCK Season 2: Toonami is part of [adult swim], and in 2020, [adult swim] will be part of HBO Max. So I think there's still a chance we see "early" premieres of each episode of gen:LOCK Season 2 on HBO Max on some weeknight at prime time followed by the episode airing on Toonami that Saturday night. I believe that it will most likely be an extension of how [as] handles its non-Toonami originals. Practically all of them streamed first in 2019. Rick & Morty MIGHT be the only exception.

Exactly. Dragon Ball Super regularly broke 500K. But other shows that have accomplished this feat in 2019 were Boruto, My Hero Academia, Sword Art Online: Alicization, The Promised Neverland, and Dr. Stone. Coming up this weekend, of those that broke the half-million glass ceiling, only DBS, Dr. Stone, and MHA will be on the lineup, and the latter will be on too late to matter. Additionally, there was one block that averaged over 500K back on March 2nd. But getting back to the immediate past: 10/19/19 - Adults 18-49 Show Viewers Retention TOONAMI DBS (R) 301,000 OPM2 268,000 89.04% Dr. Stone 252,000 94.03% FireForce 233,000 92.46% FoodWars! 197,000 84.55%I D. Slayer 219,000 111.17% B. Clover 194,000 88.58% Boruto 197,000 101.55% Shippuden 220,000 111.68% LupinPt5 176,000 80.00% MHA (R) 181,000 102.84% AVERAGE 221,636 26 of 42 One-Punch Man Season 2 might be the next to join them, IF the encores of 130 and 131 of DBS perform proportionally to their premieres as compared with the encores of 128 and 129. I could see a DBS 131 encore which gets over 600K/400K 18-49, which COULD carry OPM over that 500K/300K 18-49 ceiling.

https://programminginsider.com/saturday-final-ratings-american-league-championship-series-clinching-victory-by-astros-over-yankees-is-top-fs1-telecast-in-two-years/ Man, Shippuden PERFORMS at 3 AM! It beat every show from 1-3 AM in 18-49, even edging out Demon Slayer by 1K! DBS also cracked 300K 18-49 this time!

Yeah, and if they weren't watching that, they were probably watching Alabama/Tennessee! For One-Punch Man to have battled THAT to tick up 0.01 in 18-49 is quite admirable! Dragon Ball Super, Black Clover, Naruto Shippuden, and MHA are all in, and, well... 10/19/2019 - Total Viewers Show Viewers Retention TOONAMI DBS (R) 496,000 OPM2 407,000 82.06% Dr. Stone 369,000 90.66% FireForce 348,000 94.31% FoodWars! 300,000 86.21% D. It also topped Boruto by almost 15% for the 2nd week in a row, but how will it fare with JoJo Part 5 as its lead-in? We find out next week!! Bye bye, Boruto! Maybe see ya around!!

Looks like everything ticked down in total viewers this week, and everything outside the Top 20, but some shows actually ticked UP in a few key demos, and Lupin is back in the Top 50 for the first time in over a month: http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-10-19-2019.html Demon Slayer actually ate Food Wars' lunch! It and Dr. Stone were also the "lucky" shows to tick up in 18-34, and Boruto sunsets at a pretty respectable 0.2 in that demographic. Since Shippuden has been at 2:30 for most of the year, I don't have much 18-34 data for that timeslot, but that's also an uptick!
