Something tells me it’s all happening at the zoo
Gemini replied to Lemming's topic in General Discussion
A zoo held together by glue, perhaps? -
Okay, fair. But you don't have to worry about me, man. I'm good. I'm not like a lot of these places who make weak tea and dump in three cups of sugar. I've had to ask for half sweet, half unsweet and mix it just to dilute the sweetness before. It's maddening.
-
No, you misunderstand me. I only use a cup of sugar to make a gallon of tea. Like an ounce of sugar per pint of tea.
-
Using a coffee maker, I brew 12 cups of tea using 12 teabags where the coffee grounds/filter would go. I use a mesuring cup to put a full cup of sugar in a pitcher, then when I pour the tea in there, I stir to dissolve the sugar, then add water until it comes to up to a gallon. For me, it's super strong and juuuuuust sweet enough for me to drink. (Scoob might think I'm nuts for doing that, but I've heard of people making it even sweeter without making it as strong.)
-
I love raspberry tea, but I don't think I know how to make it. Have you made it before?
-
I'm so tempted to go get one right now, but I don't want to go anywhere. lol
-
Likewise. I've tried drinking unsweet tea a lot and I just can't do it. I have to have some kind of sweetner in it that isn't stevia or doesn't contain aspartame. So something like Splenda is perfect.

I call dibs on the electric Slap Chop.

I've never really been a big fan of Snapple in general.

Last woman standing, Pooh

Congratulations, Pooh! Well-deserved! -
I thought it was keeping your joints from going stiff. /sarcasm

Have you tried it yet? I haven't. I don't want to either. lol

Sorry. Didn't mean to single them out, but it sounded like they were your employer. So anyway, my mom's Internet and tv have been real spotty ever since Optimum bought out Suddenlink. My mom lives in Liberty County, Texas, (Houston area) and she switched to Suddenlink when they were good. But once Optimum bought them out, her internet and tv service has been very inconsistent. At times, even nonexistent. She's called and called requesting for them to send someone out to reset the service out at the box on the pole by the road, and they've yet to do so.
-
I love "Fearless", too. Great little acoustic-guitar led ditty.
-
If it's Optimum, boy, have I got a bone to pick with you. (My mom has Optimum and they've been dicking her around ever since Suddenlink was bought out by Optimum.)
-
Yeah, I suspect a placebo effect kind of thing with ol' ghostie.
-
I'd tell him that he owes you when he drops her off tomorrow morning.

Doing fine. Currently participating in my basketball sim league's draft. (I'm contemplating whether or not I should move back into the draft by giving up a future first-round pick.) That's why I haven't been active today.

It looks like a talent show from Latin America or Spain. (Which is fine. I'm just not a fan of talent shows in general.) Of course, I'm a huuuuuge Rush fan, and this song is becoming more and more poignant in my life. (And what a fitting song to end their studio career on. Extremely moving and profound, and it's from their only true concept album, Clockwork Angels, but it could easily have been a standalone song because of the message, which is no matter what you do in life, if you don't have the love and respect of the people you value most in your life, it's all meaningless.)

Have you tried either the blueberry or strawberry version? They're both pretty good. (Then again, I had gravitated toward GrainBerry frosted wheat square cereal for a while. It was lightly coated with sugar frosting and they had a slight cinnamon flavor to them overall. It was actually pretty good. If you can find it, it'll most likely be in the organic section of your local grocery store.)

I wish I could just write off pain. But even the slightest little prick hurts and I have to react. (If only for a split second.) Like maybe my nerves are more senstive than most people. *shrugs*

Important unanswered questions posed by popular songs vol 1

Was it, in fact, imagination stringing us along? -
Not that I can recall. They'd all just call me by what everybody in the church knew me by. (Which is what you know me by as well.)
-
Of course. I was just saying if I wanted to play the "woe is me; I'm a bad person" card, I probably could have, but I know deep in my heart that I most certainly am a good person. I just have bad days from time to time.
