  1. judging by this post, i don't think you know how not to be a naysayer.
  2. this place could showcase original user content on a yt channel real easy.
  3. i was about to say creative arts as well. writing, graphic design, various crafting ... just original content in general.
  4. you make me keep going back to this now i gotta go watch this movie and cringe a lot.
  5. if the fancy tylenol doesn't kick it,
  6. but they may deploy their high-speed travel counter-measures. i've heard they can shake a car right off the road if they try hard enough.
  7. the fun has begun. met with the plumber today, and we have a plan for getting his part underway. now that the frost has gone, the part of the lot that was not already concrete, is getting cleaned up and graveled this weekend. meeting with the concrete guys next week, hopefully they can get in and pour footings quickly so we can run the plumbing in right after that. then finish the concrete and start with the structures. happydance.gif i just had a notification pop up on my phone. been price watching a particular picnic table for almost a year now. it generally runs in the $200-300 range. it went on sale this afternoon for $153, so i ordered 8 of them. if we like them as much as i expect we will, we might by buying up to 8 more. next lumber sale that comes up from any of the local hardware/big box stores, we'll be pouncing on that as well. it's getting exciting now.
  8. but i'm not the one who bought insurance on it so they won't give me a dime. best i can hope for is that they reimburse the seller and he gives me back my paypal transfer.
  9. i bought it privately on a buy/sell forum, so the only reimbursement i'll get is from the seller...if he doesn't get scarce on me.
  10. working in the am, transitioning to a working/drinking mix by mid-afternoon. mostly drinking by evening, with a chance of alcohol abuse in the overnight hours. high abv of 0.20%, slightly windy.
  11. so now this package doesn't even exist in the system. still hasn't arrived, even though it was 2 hours away and heading my direction on monday morning. i called the post office and they have no idea where it is either. good thing i didn't spend money on the contents of the package or anything.
  12. i feel you on this one.
  13. 6' even back in high school / college. haven't really measured much since then. last time i was at the doc, i was about 5'11" but it was later in the afternoon. so probably still around 6'ish.
  14. this one time at the convenience store i worked at in high school, i stole a movie rental ticket that had been filled out by one johnny "red" kerr, 3-time NBA MVP, coach of the year, and color commentator for the chicago bulls for 30+ years, including their hot streak in the 90's. that's the only brush with celebrity i'm interested in claiming.
  15. on a slightly-less-related-to-asmb tangent, there's also a collaboration beer called "sealab" out in maine. https://untappd.com/b/barreled-souls-brewing-company-sealab/1314818
  16. it's always either the charging port, or a cracked screen. i've opened one up and replaced the charging port, but it's not a terribly efficient use of time/money, considering you can get the dang things brand new for $40.
  17. they've had shared account privileges for years now. agreed that the fire 7 is shit. but if you install the play store and toss in a microSD card, it's a pretty decent *disposable* piece of tech. my kids get new ones at xmas each year.
  18. i only have small and medium left on the shelf. but it's possible i have a couple large size at home, just chilling in my closet.
  19. wtf is it with deliveries today? mine is now late. scheduled for delivery today via usps, but it's listed as "in transit - arriving late." it's been sitting in stl since yesterday morning. i hope they didn't break it or some shit. side note. so i bought a 6-pass cold plate on a whim. thinking of either building a 6-tap jockey box or a soda gun system, can't decide.
  20. certainly will. i know there's about a half dozen left on the shelf, but sizes could be anywhere from s-xxl.
  21. in death, a warehouse has a name. its name is hop garden.
  22. while that may be true in a few cases, this one isn't bad. i'm also not making payments every month and insurance is cheap af. when it dies, i'll have already got my money's worth out of it a couple times over. plus, i don't have to worry about beating it up or getting it messy. i get rid of trash and vacuum it out a couple times a year, and i might hit it with the garden hose if it gets too dirty, but that's all the tlc this thing needs.
  23. fair enough. i don't buy a truck with the intention of reselling it though. the last one i bought in 2015 was an '03 silverado 1500hd with all kinds of little problems. made some necessary repairs and put it into use. i got it for $4500 and i'm still using it to pull trailers and pack shit around. i'll drive it til it costs more to fix it than it's worth, and at that point i'll part it out and get something else. it's never been washed and it will never be washed, for as long as i own it. looks tough, adds character.
  24. eh, i guess. a fresh, thorough detail is awesome, don't get me wrong. i did detailing for a couple years to pay bills while i was doing the live music thing, and if you don't mind a little bit of manual labor, it's really not hard to do it yourself and get those results. cars & trucks are pretty easy, even when people have messy kids or track mud and grime in daily. boats are harder. combines are a lot harder. also, i'm with mid on not cleaning trucks. they're not showpieces. they're workhorses and need to be treated as such.
