On the topic of American anime VA's, the thing that helps in them making money is typically the dubbing companies will allow them use their characters likeness at places like conventions. If you're a VA in America and not in a union or doubling down, conventions is your only other real choice in order to make a proper living. Or I guess you could become famous on Twitch

In order to make any real money as a VA in the American anime industry you pretty much have to double down, doing something else involved in its production. Considering all or just about all Dub production in the US isn't union, when it came to people like Troy Baker, Laura Bailey, and so on they just about completely left doing anime for video games since voice acting for video games is majority union, that being where the money's at. Also heard somewhere that once you're in the VA union you're not allowed to do work for companies that aren't union, or at least won't pay the amount required for union work. I think the only exception being for reprisals, such as Laura Bailey returning for the new Fruits Basket series.

Ever since I finished HS I've had tons of dreams over the years where for some reason or other I ended up having to go back for another year. Hell, quite literally last night I had one along those lines. This being right after I had a dream where Chris Hansen himself called me up, telling me to take a seat so he could ask me some questions, us then talking about random shit.

Back in ASMB I won a custom rank or whatever as a result of a create a character contest for FLCL, which is kind of funny considering I don't like that show at all and only watched it through once. I don't remember what the name was meant to be a reference to. Here it was a case where almost all names I chose were references to memes, I decided I want an actual screen name and not a meme.
