What can I say? I didn't know him that well, though I knew him for a long time. Spent many a day arguing with him on the old ASMB to give me back banned accounts that I deserved to lose. These last few months I feel like I got to know him at least a little better - I saw a creative man with a passion to make something worth spending time on. I wish we had more time with him. I wish we had that last phone call we were supposed to have, the day before he died. I really didn't know him in much of a personal way, but I feel a strong, deep sadness - the kind you feel when you lose a family member. I think that's just a sign that he was something special to the world, and a powerful force in the lives of those he knew. I'm really gonna miss you man.

It is possible. I did not know there was any problem with registering until today and found an error caused by one of the plugins.

All I've seen is the facebook post. I sent him an email, but that's the only contact method I have. He was supposed to call me last Sunday but didn't.

I'm not a lawyer, don't know nor do I care. All I know is if I get a letter from a judge that says "give us all data posted by the user at this ip" then I will do that.

That includes posts and personal messages. When you "delete" something from this board, the data is not deleted. It is retained in the server's databases with a status of "deleted" - meaning it wont show up on the boards, but I can go access it with administrative tools. Under normal circumstances this data will never be accessed (and cannot be accessed by anyone who does not have administrative credentials to the server hardware, which at this time is only me). However, if this data is needed to corroborate some kind of harassment report, or is for some reasons subpoenaed by law enforcement, I can and will retrieve this data. tl;dr - Don't talk about things here that you don't want other people and/or the cops to know.
