There is a module for this forum software that lets us accept payments right here on the boards and automate them with privileges/ranks/etc but unfortunately that also costs money to install so we haven't done that yet.

The phrase "known to cause cancer" is frankly pointless. Literally anything that causes a change in cells in your body can technically lead to cancer - this includes all food, all sources of heat, many sources of light, any type of radiation that is ionizing and the vast majority of all skin-permeating substances, natural or synthetic.

I did mine in PHP because it's super fast for prototyping but it's really not meant for long running scripts. I'll redo them in Python or Rust eventually. Not a fan of C# since I don't run any Microsoft servers.
