Just finished a couple days ago: 12 Kingdoms.  7/10.  I really liked the story, would have loved more.  The world building was either amazing or vocab vomiting all over the place depending on the episode.

Just finished a few minutes ago: Gunslinger Girl 7/10.  Looking forward to the sequel/OVA.

I got my annual rewatch of Akira done this year, this time using the 2001 version. R.I.P. that guy who designed the logo. And I started a rewatch of Sweet Punishment, which... well, it's still hentai, but I'm actually enjoying it this time. I was so hung up over the fact that it had little actual bondage when I first saw it.

My Senpai is Annoying 1

Not the best name for the show.  I think the main girl is annoying but

I've never liked tsunderes.  The senpai is awesome.  I hope there isn't romance in this show. 

Yeah she's an adult but she looks like a grade schooler.  I think I was taller than her when I was ten. 

She looks like a kid with her dad when she's with him.

We have reached the end of another year, and as per normal (as it has somehow become), it's time for me to list all the individual episodes of things I watched and gave ratings to this year. Cosmo Samurai sort of counts, but wasn't included because I had no clue how to include it: as four mini-episodes or one overall episode. Rewatches of things that were out of fun and not without some sort of purpose not included.

  Reveal hidden contents

Overall, 489 individual episodes. I can do better next year, especially since I'll be more acclimated to my new daily routine of working a full 40 hours a week.

Since it's a show that doesn't get mentioned much and I saw it in your list now's a good time to ask, how was the second half of Corpse Princess?

Watched the first half and it was inconsistent but still pretty cool, but just haven't had the time yet to watch the rest.

I personally enjoyed it, and it manages to wrap as much things up as they can to general success. I think you'd like it, though it's a little open-ended and the OVA that serves as the final numerical episode is a flashback that doesn't provide much follow-up.

Just finished my loooong re-watch of Fairy Tail yesterday.

It's loaded with friendship cheese as everyone knows, and I still love the hell out of it and so many of the characters. Looking forward to 100 Year Quest's anime and the dub cast getting to do these roles again some more whenever it actually starts airing.

That soundtrack is still one of the GOATs too, imo.

Good to hear, thanks.

I wasn't even sure if it'd have one of those endings that just "cuts off" so seeing that gives me even more drive to get back in and finish it after spending the time watching the first half, even if it's still somewhat open which I don't mind.

Hackadoll #2 was the last episode of 2021. I was initially surprised it wasn't legally streaming, but then I remembered seeing an announcement saying it was taken off Crunchyroll. I just don't know when. Either way, I guess it's not surprising as the namesake website doesn't exist anymore. Also, cool that it ended with a sort-of iM@S pastiche, complete with tape on the office windows. Oh, and takt op. started off 2022. Hope to get the CG writeup done in a day or two, followed by another content ratings post by the end of the week.

If you're wondering about the HameFura OVA, it's basically a glorified clip show, with all of Catarina's suitors as kids talking about how great she is. I think there is some new animation in it here and there, but you can probably skip it unless you're one of the diehards. I mean, I went into the episode not knowing what is was, but I still ended up liking it. Helped that it was really cute, even if having a lot of the footage be from early in S1 didn't mesh well with S2's opening and ending.
