K_N Posted April 18 Posted April 18 I have employed a couple of different anti-bot mitigations. You may see some security verification screens every now and then. I also identified the source of a lot of the bot traffic from the last 24 hours and blocked their entire ASN. 3 Quote
Top Gun Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Ugh...the Cloudflare verification screen gets me stuck in an infinite loop on my browser of choice (Pale Moon). Not your guys' fault at all, it's Cloudshit being Cloudshit and not following basic web standards. Just means more inconvenience for me I guess. 1 Quote
discolé monade Posted April 18 Posted April 18 2nd cloudfare supported site that required this. Quote
The_annoying_one Posted April 18 Posted April 18 No issues on mobile for me so far, but I’m just waiting to see if I have to solve any CAPTCHAs. That’ll be the end for me on this small phone. Quote

Is there a realistic world where blocking that source is sufficient without the added protections or is it inevitable another source just fills that gap? Quote
PokeNirvash Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Ah, so that explains those verification screens I've been seeing all day. Quote
K_N Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Yeah, sorry guys. I can try reducing the frequency of the verification screens at least. But at least its better than no website. 3 Quote

For those of you that have static IPs, I should be able to collect a list from the admin panel and exclude you guys from the verification. If we have to leave it on longer than a couple days I'll try to do that. 2 Quote

It's mostly people that don't know what they're doing, running AI training that just scrapes every website they find. The one I blocked was a datacenter for a specific cloud computing company that had been responsible for a lot of the last 24 hours, but that was just one. 2 Quote

It's more of an issue on Cloudflare's part that's bitten Pale Moon before, and it seems like they pushed some updates that messed things up again. 2 Quote
K_N Posted April 18 Posted April 18 The problem with bots is that they try to hide what they are and show as little information as possible. Which is also how most privacy focused browsers appear. 1 Quote
The_annoying_one Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Experiencing somewhat severe slowdown on mobile again tonight. It only appears to be affecting the UEMB for me, so I’m fairly sure it’s not internet problems. No Cloudflare pop-ups so far, though. Quote
Raptorpat Posted May 4 Posted May 4 I got a few other messages and can also confirm myself. I let KN know and he'll take a look when he has a moment. 1 Quote
-Kudasai- Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Don't know about you guys but this place has been slow to load all day at least for me. I guess it's another round of the invasion of the AI Bots 1 Quote
The_annoying_one Posted May 18 Posted May 18 There’s definitely been a little lag on my end, but my internet’s been slow in general the past few days. I thought it was just me, honestly. Quote
rpgamer Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Have noticed a couple hiccups, but never quite seemed prolonged enough to suggest a new wave, and likewise assumed just choppy internet. Quote
