[classic swim] Posted August 6 Posted August 6 https://www.the-sun.com/entertainment/14910416/howard-stern-show-canceled-contract-up/ O&A Virus caught up. I wasn’t gonna make a thread but we made one for Colbert. 2 Quote
Insipid Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Maybe it's for the best. He's become so sterilized and unfunny these days. The last bit he did that I liked was when he made fun of bronies, and that was over ten years ago. 2 Quote
The_annoying_one Posted August 6 Posted August 6 I can't say I was ever a fan of him, but I honestly thought his show ended a while back. 3 Quote
1pooh4u Posted August 6 Posted August 6 That’s a shame. I stopped listening to him when he went over to satellite. I just never got a sub but I know he played a big part in making satellite radio a bigger thing, way faster than had he not made the move. I read his latest book a few years back and he really changed he really wasn’t happy with some of the things he had done and the fucked up shit he said and did to people. I don’t know that much about how he is outside of radio but he seems like a really loyal guy. He has been partnering with Robin forever. Ba ba booey been around a long time too. I think stuttering John is long gone but that was his choice, I think. Not 100 on that 2 Quote
Insipid Posted August 6 Posted August 6 I generally love his shock humor, but his whole bit on Selena was beyond fucked up. 2 Quote

I found him an odd duck for wanting everything he ever did burned upon his death. He went nuclear on the 9/11 show and said fucked up shit like everyone else that was able to broadcast that day. It’s the past. Those uploads from that particular event didn’t need to be taken down astronomically. Not like they profit off the antique shit. If it’s genuinely because he wants to be a good guy now, fine. Like yeah torch your blackface episodes but the entire library doesn’t really do much for your conscience. 2 Quote
André Toulon Posted August 6 Posted August 6 I used to watch his show on E from time to time but i never sought his content out...I guess i dont have a strong opinion one way or the other on this 1 Quote
lupin_bebop Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago It was an era of radio. It was a moment in time. It was a genre that bred your Jake and Logan Pauls. It bred the Andrew Tates and other influencers of that style. Not so much the red pills, but the shock based ones. Quote
[classic swim] Posted 14 hours ago Author Posted 14 hours ago I’ve heard things since OP ranging from “he threw a meltdown at his staff” “he made fake accounts for interviews/boosting dying interaction” “he ackshully didn’t get cancelled and is getting paid more.” Because all the articles I look up on it are pussyfooting, I’ll just leave it a mystery. 1 Quote
