Do you watch e-sports?

I was very into the FGC (fighting game community) when Street Fighter 4 and its variants were the premiere fighting game (2009-2015). I’m getting back to watching it again, but mostly the older fighters (CVS 2, USF4, UMVC3, occasionally Third Strike).

So do you watch it, and if so, what’s your genre’s and/or games?

I used to but just kinda fell out of it. I watch the occasion EVO streams but its rare i see them live

literally the only thing I watch close to that are Aussie Drongo casts of AOE4 matches

Man, I was really into competitive halo for a while 

I mean, I watched it on USA back in the day, but sometime around Halo 4. I would watch players stream overnight while I was bored at work

It helped that a few older players were trying to get careers going via youtube, so they would have these open mic podcasts like things using skype where they just spill all the beans on their fellow players and past antics along with the current drama going on in the professional community 

It was fun

Now I don't really keep up. I haven't enjoyed a halo (or really any competitive FPS) in a while

Also, I've been meaning to try hitbox for years after first seeing it in EVO. It was banned from competitive play at one time but I hear its almost the standard now.

Interesting concept, but I feel like this is for hardcore pc players who refuse to use a controller or fight stick...not vice versa..i feel controller players would struggle here, but my piano knowledge might make this easy for me 

But the bottom line being, I just plain never had the proper motivation to try this

I remember when those were banned, I don’t think I could learn one at this point. I kind of hate that my fight stick made it so I can’t play on pad anymore.

Im weird.... I play SF with stick but pad with Tekken...side stepping on stick always seems to lock me into the side walk for a sec and I hate that...Oh and I prefer player 2 side

I prefer player two as well, my wrist moves better from that side for some reason.

I don't follow esports regular but yeah I vibe with fighting games and sometimes Pokemon to a degree

I watched EVO when SF4 and UMVC3 were current, but I haven't really watched since. Outside of that, I kind of dislike e-sports in general, but I think that has to do with most of it being focused on games and genres I have no interest in.

Those were my salad days of watching, SF4 EVO was glorious.
