[classic swim] Posted January 16 Posted January 16 The Twin Peaks phenomenon during its run in the 90s was summed up as “lol what this/ dern coffee cherry pie derp shit” only Lynch cared about filmmaking way more than many before him. Just with the Laura Palmer plot by itself, he stunted entertainment from being a sea of nameless projects failing to be Miami Vice or Columbo. 2 Quote
katt_goddess Posted January 17 Posted January 17 His only considered 'failure' was the 1984 version of 'Dune' and even that has it's appeal with certain people. RIP. 1 Quote
MasqueradeOverture Posted January 17 Posted January 17 (edited) This one hits as bad as Robin Williams for me what the fuck. I hope to see another piece of art with the power of Twin Peaks S3 made in my lifetime, but I doubt it. Edited January 17 by MasqueradeOverture 1 Quote
Top Gun Posted January 17 Posted January 17 I feel bad because I have basically zero exposure to any of his work, so this doesn't hit me at all. I know he was an all-time great though. Quote
