Uzumaki - World Premiere - Episode 1 Discussion

Last night I ordered the manga. They got the 3 volumes in one. Glad for that. Makes things simpler. I’m not looking to start a collection. I did that once and it really broke my heart when I lost it. Dozens upon dozens of manga and anime series….gone. Just thinking about it makes me sad still.

This is probably the first Junji Ito adaptation to really get the visuals down, which might be why it took so damn long.  This is a visually beautiful series which really manages to sell the horror of what's going on with the spirals.

It's also a damning indictment of the short-sightedness of Zaslav to sell Crunchyroll to Sony when it's clear anime is keeping up with all the stuff on Max.  The only two shows ahead of Uzumaki today in top views are The Penguin and John Oliver.

Watched the dubbed version. Damn, Patrick Seitz was voicing three or four background characters there, most of them in the funeral crowd. I'd call that pretty freaky, but the show's freaky enough as it is, so I'm just gonna call it neat instead.
