ben0119 Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 "I'm nothing more than a garden variety idiot who got his hands on power." Yeah, you've got that right, Eren, you jackass! 1 2

Eren didn't have any choice, at least from his point of view... because he's an idiot. LOL I love it. This show's just so messed up. I really hope Demon Slayer turns out better than this! As bad as the writing in Inuyasha franchise is, at least it doesn't suck with endings! 1 1

Isayama wrote himself into a corner and was not creative enough to pull it all together and copped out for this shit sadly 2

We should be so lucky. But at least this seems to indicate that Eren knows he isn't an evil genius? 1

OwlChemist81 Posted January 7, 2024 Author Posted January 7, 2024 But Armin told this story as the narrator, so he HAS to live, right? 1

DangerMouse Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 (edited) Ah, so that's when he had that paths talk with Eren, cool. We knew he had a reaction there. Edited January 7, 2024 by DangerMouse 2
DangerMouse Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 So he talked to all of them one last time and then erased their memories for until it was over. 1
atomicinumatt Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 The one saving grace is that the music in this finale is so good. 1
atomicinumatt Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 I do love this scene with Levi talking to all of his fallen comrades 1

CorbeauKarasu Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 gotta see how this informs the series from the very beginning.... 1
Dark_Cloud_Overhead Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 Pieck wishes she got a chat. That's what you get for not being friends with the suicidal maniac. Too bad. 2 1 1

Absolutely, but when I was reading this I was hoping that Isayama would pull it all together with at least a decent conclusion, but boy was I wrong. Should have seen the writing on the walls.. 1

And admittedly at least all of the talk about the problems with the ending made me come in with lowered expectations so I didn't really hate it. 1

ben0119 Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 Oh, they did turn back into humans. That's a relief at least. Would've been too much of a sad ending otherwise. And the power of Titans has been erased. 2

ben0119 Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 (edited) Aww it's Sasha's ghost. Put down your guns, assholes. Makes no sense that Ymir loved King Fritz. Guess she was crazy. Edited January 7, 2024 by ben0119 1
OwlChemist81 Posted January 7, 2024 Author Posted January 7, 2024 Yeah, I guess Titans really mo longer exist. Eren did what he set out to do, an attack on Titans, an unfortunate truth of this world, and won. 2
DangerMouse Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 Even after all that the leftovers of Marley still suck ass lol 1 1
ben0119 Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 YOU'RE HUGGING A HEAD. You're gonna drag Eren's head all the way back there?! The Jaegerists took over Paradis? Weren't they all killed? Uhgghhh.  The idiots of this world have learned nothing. 1 2
ben0119 Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 I was expecting one of them to volunteer to take a bullet to prove they're human now. I was hoping for Reiner lol. 2

If their complaints were not getting a happy ending, I have to wonder what the fuck show they thought they were watching lol. If it is the further going off the rails of the plot, I can agree with that haha. 1 3
DangerMouse Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 (edited) The Ymir that finally appeared to Mikasa at the end is the first time we've ever seen a grown up Ymir like that. It makes sense we just get this sad expression from her. While we'd probably like to hear her thoughts, all that could possibly do is let her take the blame for everything. There'd be no way she could justify it, just like Eren having a tough speech since his actions were heavily influenced by her. Edited January 7, 2024 by DangerMouse 1
