In the beginning, it’s a blistering hot, thick soup that’s exploding with light and heat. In the end, there’s nothing, not even black holes (due to hawking radiation). It’s cold, but it’s a cold that’s unobtainable until there is no matter left, so it’s not quantifiable. The end is dark and cold, and not even time exists.
