I find weekends off a bit overrated. Personally I prefer to be off on Sunday and have a day off during week. I think it's best to have an off day during a weekday for appointments other things that can only be done during weekdays/

What's better is having the full two day "weekend" on weekdays, for the same reason you just mentioned.

A couple of things about Metallica...

1. S&M is a terrible live album. I'm sure it was a good idea on paper but it's easily one of the worst live albums I've ever listened to.

2. Metallica live sucks. It's not because they sound bad it's they have this annoying habit of getting fans to sing along to damn near all their songs. It's one thing to get fans to sing along to their more popular songs but it's a whole another thing to get fans to sing along to deep album cuts like Motorbreath, Four Horsemen, And Justice For All. And not just sing a verse or two but damn near the whole song. Imagine paying money for a concert and you're doing most of the singing. And it's cringe listening to fans not know the lyrics.

Rage Against the Machine was also guilty of this so it's not just Metallica.

At least Rage is actually trying to rally their fans around a cause.  Metallica hasn’t had a cause since…. ….And Justice.

Who knew losing a Grammy to Jethro Tull would change the course of history.

As for Rage, cause or not you're shit live you're going to hear about it.

Rage really isn’t worth seeing live unless you’re already teed up and yelling at some jerkoff you met like ten minutes ago seems like a great way to spend a Saturday night.  My buddy from ‘SC is a huge Rage fan and he yells at the stereo every time they play.

I can understand this gripe for live ALBUMS, but I saw Metallica live on the St. Anger tour and it was in my top 3 concerts ever.

Dark Side Of The Moon is pretty good, but overrated af.

I'd go with the Wall too long and too boring. The only saving grace is Comfortably Numb is on there.

If a married or dating couple that I’m on good terms with randomly decides to get into a shouting match right in front of me, I’m well within my rights to say something about it.

I will not address any specifics of the fight and I will not take sides, but I will be a complete ass about it.

I'm genuinely ok with AI taking over everything. Billionaires won't be safe either. I had an interesting convo with chatgpt about this and it was strangely cathartic. What will be will be. And the takeover still isn't guaranteed quite yet anyway.

Draft dodging is not at all an insult. It’s only a jab when you wanna mock Donald or some politician displaying hypocrisy by talking above their hernia.

I’m too old for any draft, and would still declare with great intensity that I’d dodge a draft.

I kinda like going to work.

Hear me out, and this may be a problem exclusive to me, but home really gets boring after a few days... especially when you get that extended weekend. Now I don't work on Monday anyways so I dont mean the holiday...I took Friday for my daughter's graduation...Today I had court....again ...., its been like 5 days since I've had to do shit and frankly, I was contemplating just pulling up like I left something there just to see what was going on.

Of course I didn't, because as soon as I HAVE to be there, I'ma hate it again, but I'm almost sure that if I live that long, I'll be working in my 70s just to stave off boredom.

It's ok to not like a specific genre of music. It's ok to have a preference for a certain type of music. You're not going to like everything and that's fine as long you're crapping on other people's taste in music listen to what makes you happy. And the hell with those who tell you that you need to be more open minded and listen to other things, no the fuck you don't. Experiment with other genres because it's something you want to do and not because some idiot tells you should.

Zodiac signs are just useless gibberish to me. It’s only significant when you’re talking to the opposite sex at a restaurant or Shoe Carnival.

My theory is the only guys who believe in it don't really believe in it and only pretend to to women because they know ALL women believe it.

I think one way for the church to gain followers again is to not require one to believe Jesus died for everyone's sins and resurrected three days later. Jesus still taught about empathy and compassion that still holds true today. This is not even an new position to have of faith; Thomas Jefferson believed in the teachings of Christ but he did not believe in the miracles and divinity. Maybe it's time to stop beingbso puritanical about faith.

And even though this is unpopular now, I can see this reinterpretation of faith gaining traction in an uncertain age of AI. It's kind of like Romanticism during the Industrial Age.

Frankly I think the real issue is that very loud very vocal evangelicals have turned the entire point of Christianity into hating on basically any group of people that isn't them, and for a lot of people that means hating a lot of good people and people close to them, and young people especially see this and think "fuck this" and leave the church. They stop that shit and young people wouldn't be so turned off and leave in droves.

Oh yes, evangelicalism is definitely a problem too. It is mainly an American problem though, the way it intertwines with politics.

Gen Z men are more Christian than millennial men, not by much. People may automatically dismiss this and say oh, they're just idiots who have become more conservative. I think, however, this suggests a new trend of wanting structure in a world that seems to be falling apart. The church was not always automatically associated with a certain political ideology in the US, and there is a growing trend of wanting to break away from it.

Of course, I find religion to be intellectually dishonest, but I can see the benefits of faith and community.

I saw Halloween Kills in theaters and thought the hate was a major overreaction for something knowingly C tier.

I read the IMDb reviews and so many said it’s bad because the characters were stupid. I thought that was good? Was he supposed to put down the machete and check their thetan levels?

I didn’t see the 2018 before, so that might as well have been the reboot. Lol at clutching the quality of a 2018 movie.
