I made chicken biryani myself for the first time. Jesus, was this labor intensive, even though I used a spice packet. The end result was good, although the texture was more like a rice porridge than a biryani. The taste was just right, and I added habanero peppers to make it hot, which fortunately came out to the level of hotness I wanted.

I think I'll make it again. So much cheaper than getting it at a restaurant.

My food actually looks photogenic today but my table is so hideous. Slow cooked pork wirh sauerkraut, green beans, mashed potatoes, and rice.

Not starting shit, but those are two pretty hard starches.

No, I'm not a nutritionist nor do I count calories and carbs and shit. Just that I know my body and starches kinds feud. Just mentioning it,  feel free to ignore

It's fine. I probably should give up one or the other . . . probably the potatoes. Rice is my favorite. Anyway, no digestive issues for me, but I know this probably is a glycemic overload.

Nothing...I made burgers and my son ate all of them. It's just me and him here so I made 2 burgers.

He decided both belonged to him. So now I either have to leave the house or thaw something out.  I'm not eating noodles again.

I'm making chicken biryani and for the first time, raita. I bought this chili powder from the Indian store that said extra hot . . . let's just see how this goes.

I wonder just how horrible my kitchen smells to people, considering that I cook a wide variety of cuisines that have pungent smells. Masala from Indian, soy sauce from Chinese and Japanese, fish sauce from Thai, oregano from Italian, etc.

leftovers

Somebody gotta eat them and it won't be these elitist children.

But time to see if they get up and fix themselves something or are they just going to starve.

These are teenagers...I'm not catering to their s rank bullshit

I'm happy to say I was able to fix the curry I made. I just had to boil it for a while to evaporate some of the water and thicken it. It was honestly the spiciest thing I ever made. I gave some to my one Indian friend for lunch and  . . . he said it wasn't spicy. I used so much chili powder too.

Anyway, I had it for dinner today again, along with some raita made with Greek yogurt.

Having a Bacon Double Cheeseburger combo from Wendy’s.

EDIT: When did Wendy’s shrink their burgers down to White Castle size? I’m definitely gonna need something else later, dammit.
