viperxmns Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 I want to see a bluebird 😢 maybe if ignorant white people didn't import starlings and house sparrows that took over bluebird habitat I mightve been able to 1
katt_goddess Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 I have a blue jay somewhere around here. The first in almost 20 years [ I swear, I haven't seen or heard a blue jay in forever ] . I'm hoping that means that I'll start seeing goldfinches again. They used to be absolute flocks of them when I was little but nothing in so long now. Give your crows the foods to keep them around. Unless you have owls around that you like better because they will bounce off each other until one or both are gone. That Rick & Morty episode wasn't lying about that. Maybe you'll even end up with one that can talk. They are really smart and it happens sometimes without humans doing horrible adjustments to the crow directly. I had a mated pair as buds when I was younger and the male could speak. He would yell 'SHUT HELL UP' at various people but especially traveling preachers which was extra hilarious. 1
Seight Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 There were some crows where I used to work that picked up on the idea that people would just sorta...drop food in the parking lot or whatever. They weren't aggressive but the first time I saw them I was like "whoa."

Chapinator_X Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 Crows are about as abundant here as pigeons.
Tongpu Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 Plant some flag markers where they poop. Wait until it rains, then go check on them in a week or so. Pick the fungus out. Eat the fungus.
Lasty Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 Crows kick it outside my camper every morning to eat the scraps I leave on the ground. I like having them around because they make a unique call anytime the cops come around. 1
