Master-Debater131 Posted July 22, 2021 Posted July 22, 2021 This really is starting to look like its going to be amazing. Quote
Sawdamizer Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 This movie is getting some of the worst reviews I have seen In a long ass time. 155 minutes of just…. Shit it seems 1 Quote
Master-Debater131 Posted September 20, 2021 Author Posted September 20, 2021 Really? Ive been hearing good things about it. Seems like the global release went well as well. Quote
Ginguy Posted September 20, 2021 Posted September 20, 2021 It's one of those multi-part films, so be prepared if the second part never quite gets made. Hopefully it has already been filmed and won't suffer the fate of Alita. 2 Quote
Master-Debater131 Posted September 21, 2021 Author Posted September 21, 2021 Luckily Ive read the books so I have a good idea of whats going on, and a theory on where its going to end. Im really hopeful that it does well enough that they make part 2. Quote

Still fucking stupid as dumb holy fuck that WB didn't agree to shoot it Lord Of The Rings style though. Quote
Ginguy Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 Glad to hear it is making money. These kinds of epic films really should be done all at once, for continuity sake if nothing else. The issue however is cost, WB probably didn't have the money to cover the cost of such an expansive project. Quote
molarbear Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 Well I thought it was pretty damn awesome They follow the Book almost to the T 1 Quote

Master-Debater131 Posted October 23, 2021 Author Posted October 23, 2021 Saw it today. One of the single best movies I have ever seen. It was just so well done. Freaking amazing movie. Quote

GunStarHero Posted October 26, 2021 Posted October 26, 2021 Solid movie. Think it handled the source material better than the David Lynch film. Hoping we at least get confirmation on a Part 2. Denis Villeneuve said he wouldn't have signed on unless he got to finish this thing, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything concrete. Timothee Chalamet did a great job, as did many other members of the cast, but I liked him in the lead role. 1 Quote
nameraka Posted October 26, 2021 Posted October 26, 2021 Not posting the link because it's a pain on mobile but the studio has officially greenlit part 2. Supposed to be out in October 2023. Quote
Master-Debater131 Posted October 27, 2021 Author Posted October 27, 2021 Im so glad they gave the official go ahead for Part 2, and that its only 2 years away. Really hoping they let him do the trilogy like he wants to do. It would be awesome to get Messiah on the big screen. Quote
wacky1980 Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 Not gonna lie, I'd never read the books and I only watched the other Dune movie maybe one time. This movie has me hooked enough into the story that I bought the 6-book set. 1 Quote
