That could help explain why I’m losing a concerning amount of hair each day... 😅

Any suggestions on iron rich foods I should incorporate into my diet?

Red meat, legumes, oysters, liver.

Make sure that you're getting plenty of vitamin c, regardless of whether you're just going to do dietary or if you take an iron supplement, since it helps with the formation of heme.

Also dark green leafy veggies like spinach and kale.

Meat is the usual go to for iron

How much meat do you eat?

However much it is, it's clearly not enough

Everyday, you should be thinking meat

Meat, in your mouth, as often as you can

I can't stress this enough

Liver.

With fava beans

And an nice Chianti....

Seriously, liver is very high in iron, and if you soak it in milk for half an hour it gets rid of most of the mineral flavor. Spinach, kale and collard greens are very good as well. Slice up a piece of bacon and render it in a saute pan, then saute the greens in the bacon fat and add a pinch of red pepper flake to taste and you have good eats to be sure.

Dried fruits such as raisins and apricots have a good supply of iron. Be careful of the sugar content though. Seafood has iron, but larger fish like tuna and swordfish can contain mercury. Beans are a good source of iron and fiber, particularly lentils.

I asked her about supplements and she said she wanted me to start with changing up my diet first and then if that doesn’t help we can go from there.

Thank you! She didn’t mention the vitamin C so that’s good to know!

And thank you for your suggestions! I’ll be adding them to my grocery list ☺️

Lol, but I always eat some kind of meat with dinner every night! I don’t get it...

And I take vitamins, which I would have thought would also help, but guess not

Hmm...I don’t think I’ve ever actually had liver, but it doesn’t sound very appealing, lol 😂

But I like everything else you listed, so onto the grocery list they go! Thank you! ☺️

Once a night is not enough!

You're gonna need it all day and all night!

You're gonna need meat in your left hand, meat in your right hand, and just GO.TO.TOWN!

And you're going to need to film it so that I can watch to make sure you're getting enough...err...meat
