We're really only alive because the magnetosphere protects us from being blasted by the full force of the radiation of that ball plasma. Kinda crazy to think about.

There's also the atmosphere. Being the right distance away from the sun for liquid water to form. Stars being a great enough distance from each other for us to not get hit by errant gamma ray bursts... etcetera. if you measure it all up, the odds of us being here at all so inordinately slim that you can't help but be at least a little grateful for the infinitesimally tiny sliver of time you get to exist.  Go hug your mom
