"Whenever someone says something about ideal weapons in the apocalypse, katanas ALWAYS come up. Oh sure, they're extremely sharp, and (with much training and actual skill) can actually be put to use. If you don't have proper training with said katana (damascus or otherwise) there's a high chance of it breaking, even if it's authentic. Katanas have a high-carbon makeup, which tends to be more brittle than most low-carbon steel. If you were to just swing a katana willy-nilly into a zombie (or anything with bone structure) chances are that the sword will chip, dull, crack, or even shatter completely.

Other than it's high possibility to break, there are several other flaws. For a Katana to retain it's sharpness that all of those previously mentioned apocalypse n00bs strive for, it needs to be stored in the sheath with the blade facing up, as well as be oiled and powdered often."

Even if Tanjuro doesn't know what he's doing, that wooden sword would still be getting torn up.

Now some random girl.  And "cute?"  Trying to edge out Nezuko?!?!?!?!

Sounds like Stephanie Sheh but don't think it's her.

Hmm that is valid athletic training.

Hair has grown out.

Now he's moving super fast too!

Tanjuro struck first!

Stone is cut.

Now they disappeared?  They were ghosts?  Hallucinations?

Yeah I remember hearing how they aren't made of the best quality steal because that was all they had back then.  But what if they were made with a modern higher quality steel with less carbon?

Obviously this would have no bearing on the show here, but.
