Mini_ghost420 Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 one time I had sleep paralysis and I am still unsure if I was actually awake or not on an unrelated note I am considering getting a PS4
Doom Metal Alchemist Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 I think you can get sleep paralysis in some weird state between awake and asleep, that I don't remember the name of.
MegaNaraku Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Pretty sure its when your body goes to sleep but your mind stays awake, and you can hallucinate some scary shit. And get a PS4. Play games with me.
Mini_ghost420 Posted February 20, 2017 Author Posted February 20, 2017 that's what it seems like was happening
viperxmns Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 I don't have that, but I've woken with a literal dead arm from sleeping weird, that shit scary too
Hidden Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 get one and play games with me  me though.  not him.
quebecelegy Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 ive had times where im dreaming/in a state like dreaming while im awake, so it could happen.
mthor Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 I think you can get sleep paralysis in some weird state between awake and asleep, that I don't remember the name of. Hypnogagic when you're waking up, hypnopompic when you're going to sleep.
Phillies Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 no. during sleep paraylisis, you are in an intermediate state between being asleep and awake. It can be quite horrifying/intense with hallucinations.
Mini_ghost420 Posted February 20, 2017 Author Posted February 20, 2017 it was more confusing than scary for me because I literally could not tell if I was awake or still asleep. and I had hallucinations but they were purely auditory and more confusing than frightening
GaiusIuliusCaesar Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 sleep paralysis is associated with REM sleep which is typically not the first stage of sleep, however hypnagogic hallucinations can occur to similar effect, I should know I've experienced both.
