Reporters are wild dickheads, but damn my man sounded like he answered an ad in the paper to get this job.

"uhh, Cody Poole, twenty eight years old"

"Why did you do that?"

"That was twenty eight year old, Cody Poole..."

"This guy...uh...Cody...uh...Poole is known to be in metro jail fifteen times in the last NINE YEARS"

FYI - fifteen times in nine years isn't a lot :/

I really hope so but at this point it might be a pipe dream. He's been drinking and smoking since 11. He got into meth and it all went downhill from there. It blew my mind cause I haven't seen him in like ten years. He looks so much different. Like he went full trailer park ya know

ive seen some pretty horrible downward spirals from people i know. always sad to see.

the worst part jail doesnt do anything to help as your friend is a good example of that.

I've seen that firsthand so many times. So many people from my childhood are currently in and out of prison constantly. It gets to where jail doesn't bother them anymore and it's just easier to keep getting locked up. It's really a damn shame how institutionalized people can get

I mean, damn, did you hear his voice....It was like bring your kid to work day

"Alright, Dustin, lets see you give it a go. This next ones easy. His names Cody Poole and he's twenty eight years old. Make sure you keep reaffirming that. What? What did he do? Well he stabbed a guy and we don't really know why, maybe ask him in between telling people how old he is. What's that? Why do they need to know how old he is? Well our audience is primarily old people in retirement homes who have lost or most likely forgotten where the remote is. Young people don't watch local tv news.....or tv.....we gotta play to our audience and there's nothing those old fucks fear more than dangerous youth. Well, maybe immigrants. or, maybe immigrant youth. hmm, whatcha say? This seems too risky of an undertaking for an eight year old. Don't be a bitch, Dustin"

I would like everyone who has gotten a bad hand and made a few bad choices which aren't irredeemable to get a chance to better themselves and come back into society. I've been critical of unnecessary incarcerations for non-violent offenders and extremely disproportionate sentencing practices for very minor violent offences (like this one) for years. So I hope you're not insinuating that I wan't this guy or anyone of any color to spend the rest of their lives in prison, because I certainly do not.

15x in 9 years and still free? White privilege

I'm not even going to disagree with you. This is Alabama we're talking about. The fact that he's been in and out 15 fucking times is crazy. They should have thrown the book at him a while back.

It certainly seemed implied. It is the old tired joke about prison that he seemed to be alluding too. Most sexual relations in prison qualify as rape.

How would you know? I bet most of it is consensual

Having grown up around convicts I've been told that if someone is getting it on a regular it is usually consensual. Believe it or not some people use it to pay off debt. It's very very rare however. Most prisons are extremely homophobic. So gay sex, consensual or not, is mostly frowned upon.

I'm sure there is quite a bit of consensual gay sex in prisons, but that is irrelevant to the way the post I was responding too was worded. It seemingly implied that he should be raped.

How you wanna misconstrue something doesn't mean it was implied that way

Not gonna lie I did laugh react to her post, but that was jokingly. In all seriousness, prison rape is a serious issue, and nobody deserves to be raped.

It wasn't fuggs who made the rape joke, she was talking about consensual sex. It was the other dude.

That's one of the reasons I just stopped caring about random UAs when I was a CO... I saw friends on the inside. I knew they were stupid and fucked up, but one guy in particular who was another guard called me out in front of my peers.. On the fact that one of my friends was arrested for pedaling drugs, and the same old thug shit I knew he did before he was even old enough to vote...

It's ironic that I was selcted to meet the UA criteria right after that. I had a premonition type feeling that it was going to happen after living the chain of events..

Man.. That guy that called me out...IT WAS STILL WRONG TO DO.. I mean my relationship with the drug dealer is one purely concerned with skateboarding. Well I mean he's also like a brother to me, but fuck you...   That guard later died of medical reasons...stemming from a life long condition or some shit. I think I vaguely remember the LT asking everyone to kindly of give their moral support or something. (he wasn't wacked don't get the wrong idea here) In summary just knowing a local drug dealer that's been hot probably got me a random working as a prison guard..Haha.. Well buck up chap I'm pretty sure you havent been in any of these soap opera positions. 😂

Shit's tough man. It's hard to keep your sense of comedy when that shit's going on I know.
