Crunchyroll, Toonami Teaming Up For Adult Swim Programming

Interesting.  The times, they are a-changing.  At least now Toonami will have a whole other library of shows to play with.

@elfie I thought Crunchyroll was mainly a subs thing.

Edit - Also guess this means Mob Psycho 100 isn't on Funimation Now anymore.  So I missed watching it there when I had the chance, but I'll enjoy watching it more with everyone else on Toonami.

The same day Crunchyroll announced 2 million subscribers, they announced this.  Losing Funi was a huge blow and they’re clearly fortifying their remaining alliances.

What's interesting is they've both got an alliance with Toonami, though their partnership is over. With Crunchy and Toonami joining forces, we COULD see dub premieres of Sentai shows again before they go to HI-DIVE!

... who's to say Toonami will stop getting Funimation shows?? You have no source.

Unless there's an explicit Sentairoll partnership, that's not going to happen. In fact, I wonder if CR even wants that, as there's a possibility another company might buy Sentai to get in on the anime game and cause them to split from VRV.

What the fuck is HI-DIVE?  And yeah, it's been a while since we've seen a Sentai show on the block, eh?
