fuggstop
Outside of the internet, only TWO people who aren't medical professionals know im bipolar. My mom and my brother. None of my friends and definitely no one at work. So imagine my horror of when im picking up pain pills, the pharmacy guys says all outloud "YOU WANT ME TO REFILL YOUR (CRAZY PILLS), MAAM?" I was like "uuuhh.. uhhh… " looking around the whole store and feeling like im about to cry.. "uhhh...yeah, ill get them tomorrow". Then I grabbed my pain pills and scurried away trying to hide my face. FUCKER!!!!! should I complain? should I ask them to write a note on my profile never to say the names of my meds out loud? I mean, I even scratch the names of my meds off before I throw them away. People are soooooo stupid when it comes to mental illness. I feel so violated. So triggered. So sad! KreiaDidNothingWrong
What the fuck don’t just throw your bottles in the trash pharmacies have what are called DPI boxes to throw those in, and they get held securely for a period of time. Also that guy sounds like a dick, but if it helps you feel better the average person doesn’t even know the name of their own meds. At least not the generic name, and they definitely don’t know what other people’s meds are.
mthor
I don't know - you ought to maybe speak to his supervisor, especially if it upset you that much. I think that @Athena 92 may be right, and if it's not a HIPAA violation, it's teetering right on the brink of being one.
Sawdamizer
Yet again, never happened. It was 1am and you were bored, as you always admit... So you created this thread to bait Still Me or Mthor because you know their profession. You are looking for someone to say, well... Exactly what I'm saying... Then we circle this pathetic wagon... It gets DF'd and then we continue to hate you. So... What's the next move?

I don't want to be THAT person When i pick up my meds today ill just ask them to notate my account that i dont want my medication spoken. Then if they say they cant do it ill ask for the manager. Whats really making me sad is this dude really looked like he was the fucking manager.

You are assuming someone behind you in line knows you. Odds are small. But it is kind of rude I agree.

Its not that big a city. And i shouldn't have to worry about it. And i went inside because the line was so long and i was only picking up pain pills. No one asked dude to look at all their meds and hollar them out!
