PokeNirvash
I think the more important thing worth noting here is that, based on the lack of its presence from Saturday onward, [as] finally let its license to King of the Hill expire. Now begins the wait to see what basic cable station airs it next... Edited June 26, 2018 by PokeNirvash

Well that’s a high performing Sayain I tell you whut.

3ngag3
So, is this the first anime since Inuyasha to have a weeknight run?
MasqueradeOverture
Room 1: "This is where I sell propane." Room 2: "This is where I sell things to go with your propane, or as I like to call propane accessories." Room 3: "And this...goes EVEN FURTHER BEYOND!!!"
Daos
It really is a pity that this is the anime that ends up getting weeknight exposure.

And in light of that it's actually been 9.5 years. InuYasha last aired at 5:30 on Friday, December 26th, 2008. (After that it only aired on Saturdays at the butt-end of the block, except for like 4 weeks in 2010, the bonus DST hour in 2012, and of course the premiere run of Final Act in 2014-2015.) And oddly enough, the following Monday, it was briefly replaced by the PJ's, and then on 1/1/09 by King of the Hill, which also debuted that night at 10 PM. Now, 9 and a half years later, DBS is replacing KOTH at 8 PM, but NOT at 5:30; that slot goes to The Cleveland Show!

CaptainStarwind
Honestly never thought I would see anime on weeknights again, but it makes sense that this is the one to go there. Hopefully this will lead to more anime on weeknights, but I don't have my hopes up for that yet.
korosu
now that we know FLCL Progressive can't air before 9 pm i don't expect any of the 3 series to air in the 8 pm hour. it'd be cool to use 1 am - 2 am fridays for TV-MA reruns and make Toonami 10-2/2-6 with just premieres. reruns on fridays because the lineup is slightly different that day anyway. they should really limit Cleveland Show reruns to weekends and open up 8:30 weeknights for reruns of (non TV-MA) stuff they own, MHA, maybe Naruto and Naruto Shippuden (cycling shows as they catch up to the Toonami airings).

Meilag32
While I'm glad anime makes a weeknight return, I'm saddened by the loss of King of the Hill. The Cleveland Show was far more deserving of being cut from the line-up.
