MasqueradeOverture Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 http://thehardtimes.net/2016/06/06/pretentious-friend-listens-podcasts-vinyl/# If this were real, I think it's time for us all to die.
Doom Metal Alchemist Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 That's ridiculous. My main beefs with hipsters: The big goofy oversized glasses. Especially on women. Glasses, after decades of being dorky as fuck looking, actually started getting sexy in the 00s, but now they're dorky as fuck again. The man-bun. I've never liked the bun hair style on women. On men it looks beyond retarded.
Master-Debater131 Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Give it time, theyll try something like this Hipsters suck
Skiles Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Remember when they tried to bring back cassette tapes? That was fucking stupid, right?
Doom Metal Alchemist Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Remember when they tried to bring back cassette tapes? That was fucking stupid, right? They didn't just try, they succeeded. But I don't think their revival has been quite as popular as the vinyl revival. And yes it is fucking stupid.
Ginguy Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Also in the great State of Indiana it is legal to Rockwall anyone with a man bun
MasqueradeOverture Posted January 10, 2017 Author Posted January 10, 2017 They didn't just try, they succeeded. But I don't think their revival has been quite as popular as the vinyl revival. And yes it is fucking stupid. Vinyl I understand. Cassettes however are garbage. They brought back the wrong form of tape (should've been reel-to-reels, maaaaaaaaaaaaan).
Tricolor Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Not to mention they bring up property values wherever they go and smoke all the good crack, so theres no more left for the rest of us working joes....fuckity fuck!
Rogue_Alphonse Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Everything they bring back ends up making the originals 50x more expensive. For no goddamn reason. Seriously, if I want a smooth sounding podcast that sounds like it's on vinyl, I'll spend a good amount of money on a very nice audio system. Once. Not hundreds and hundreds on vinyls. With the equipment made today, this is a possible thing. And really, they get mildly expensive equipment to listen to vinyl or cassette, but if they want the true feel, buy a cassette player from the 80's, or a record player from the later 70's. part of that "smoother sound" or whatever comes from the older technology paired with it.
