death_by_motorboat Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 After the elections? We have a more Conservative change locally. It seems a major inclination is heroin and opioid abuse affecting communities and causing overdose and social trauma. It seems that people really were amped up to make changes to the political stagnation. The Dems kind of declined, whereas the Conservatives and Republicans had a stronger message and promise to approach terminal problems that weaken gov't structure and undermine the societal views. The media terms like "new blood" and the overall attitude are proof that the public opinion is gearing toward major changes.
Codename: Jackass Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 I live in semi-rural Texas. Literally nothing changed. Some dumbass kids put Confederate flags in the backs of their trucks and displayed them in the parking lot of the high school recently, so there's that.
death_by_motorboat Posted November 8, 2017 Author Posted November 8, 2017 We have a few of those too. I have a white power tattoo so I feel bad. But mine is gang related from nearly 20 years ago so I feel apologetic more than awkward.
Codename: Jackass Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 I won't tell the sturgeons about your ding-ding.
Cau Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 I voted for the faction with the cutest outfits, so we'll see how that works out. We need to make the internet cute again
bnmjy Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 I live in western PA. We're pretty much the reason Trump became elected president. :it:
RPM Jr. Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 I've been so busy, I didn't even vote in the local elections this time. I normally vote every single year, every single time the polls open. Meh. Oh, well.
NaBarney Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Only 1 of the 3 DSA endorsed city council candidates won, pretty crazy how very low turnout always is. If you can get like 5000 people to vote the same way on everything they'd rule the city
SwimModSponges Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 There was lite rally nothing on the ballot so the mayor of the town sent out a facebook status saying "hey instead of voting why not enjoy the beautiful weather?"
1938 Packard Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 This is New Jersey... Can former governor Christie file for unemployment benefits now?
Mini_ghost420 Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 I'm not sure I keep myself locked in my room most of the time
Skinko Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Nothing changed. Nebraska is a conservative state no matter what, even though Omaha is generally very liberal.
Doom Metal Alchemist Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 We have a few of those too. I have a white power tattoo so I feel bad. But mine is gang related from nearly 20 years ago so I feel apologetic more than awkward. Maybe you can get a cover up tattoo. Contact the shop that does the show Tattoo Nightmares or something. They've dealt with covering up white power tattoos before.
