...that people who listen to and enjoy shoegaze are more likely to feel lonely and isolated.

Researchers believe they subconsciously use warm, thick guitar tones as a substitute for emotional warmth.

Music is deliberately designed to change or amplify mood and it quite often does.  We didn't need a university study to figure that out.

The one and only purpose of any scientist is to solve problems.  When they are not solving problems, they are just blustering idiots either stating the obvious or perpetuating falsehoods.

Behavioral scientists try to understand why depressed people are depressed.

Scientists find that depressed people find solace in something.

They can then use this discovery to develop therapies and counseling methods to help depressed people and gain insight into the psychology of depression.

I guess it's only a problem if you deem it so, even though the only qualification you have is scrubbing toilet bowls.

I really only posted this thread as a veiled shoutout to one particular person, but thank you so much for your valuable input, I'll make sure to only post topics that appeal to you and talk about about "real" science from now on.

Remember when I said there will be a lot less hurricane activity in 2018 than this year?  Keep that in mind because I'm saying it again, right now, about a year before anyone else does.

Is this supposed to validate globalwarmingconspiracy101.blogspot.com/dumbthingswethink as a worthwhile citation?

That is quite literally how not to get past grade school.

I've been to a lot of different schools, both public and private.  They all had the very same common thread.  Spend too much time questioning the teacher and get sent to the principal's office for being disruptive.  The teacher was always right.  Wanna bother with sourcing?  The public library was still open after school.

Yeah, well, given your penchant for asking incredibly uninformed questions, I can see how that might happen.  But, for those with average intelligence, asking the right questions is usually a strong indication that one is at open to learning if not eager.

Tell that to the kids who got sent to the office enough times to be expelled... for the same reason.

The teachers always ran on the notion that doing things like ask for their sources was an attack on their integrity.  People got expelled or disciplined for that.  Students were expected to show respect.

We get it Kenny.  You were an asshole to your teachers.

Asking for sources isn't inherently a problem, unless your an ignorant little shit who is trying his hardest to make the teacher look like an idiot rather then being genuinely curious.

I could just picture you with Sister Dora.  "Can you SOURCE that?  Hunh?  Where's your proooooooFF?"  Then, she breaks the pointer on your face and sends you home.  If you had parents like mine, you'd get ass kicked again there.

And then a category 5 storm hits Atlantic City :it:
