Gyaos Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 Played it all the time back in high school, and in my early college years. Sad thing is, everyone I played it with has either moved out of the area, are too busy to spend time with their families (let alone myself), or they're dead.
rilkean_heart Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 I'd play it with you but I have never played it before
stilgar Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 I've got a group of friends who I play with but it is difficult to match all of our schedules up.
Gyaos Posted November 4, 2017 Author Posted November 4, 2017 I've got a group of friends who I play with but it is difficult to match all of our schedules up. It was the same for me when I still played it. But when we got together, it was such a great time. 2009-2012 was the best.
Gyaos Posted November 4, 2017 Author Posted November 4, 2017 I'd play it with you but I have never played it before It's not hard. The dice can fuck players pretty easily, but it's mainly imagination mixed with good humor and creativity that makes it an enjoyable experience.
Sieg67 Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 I wondered if I should get into it. I then rolled a 1 and that settled that.
stilgar Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 It is almost always a great time. I have been lucky enough to have a group of people who are fun to play with. Although we tend to plan so much the DM gets frustrated.
Raptorpat Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 JMC had space set aside here for people to organize games and to play tabletop games by post. I can turn those on if people want to coordinate D&D type stuff here.

Sad thing is, everyone I played it with has either moved out of the area, are too busy to spend time with their families (let alone myself), or they're dead. My library minion and one of his friends are putting a dungeon together, and have asked me to play. Kind of nervous - I haven't played in a long time, and I don't know how these guys are going to feel about playing with somebody my age, but it will be interesting.
Cille Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 I've been playing every weekend at a local game store for about 9-10 months. Playing in 3 different campaigns now. It gets frustrating when there are too many people at the table, but I'm really invested in my characters and I enjoy playing them and most of the time it's fun.
Cille Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 I wondered if I should get into it. I then rolled a 1 and that settled that. You should be a halfling. You get to reroll 1s.
SwimModSponges Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Never played, didnt ever have enough friends.

Yeah I've had alot of friends die myself... heroin over dose. Same kids I played magic the gathering and vidya games with.

I don't know if IPB supports the random number generator, but I always enjoyed D&D, I've played it off and on since the days when Elf was a class. >
