Sad that i have to ask this but did he mess with an underage girl in real life or in the show?

In the 80's it was an underage boy, Anthony Rapp.

Who is famous for his role in Rent, if you know broadway or watched the movie.

Spacey issued an apology and then came out as gay.

It was very poorly written because it made it seem like because he's gay he's a predator >_>

Yeah that kind of pissed me off. I haven’t been online too much today so I didn’t catch it all until late but ugh.

they should keep the show going with Claire. i would watch that

I said the same thing, but I guess Spacey is a producer and would still make $$$ off it ~_~

I guess he was suppose to have a Netflix movie coming out called Gore and that's now on the chopping block, too.

And his Emmy Honor was rescinded <_<

What a dumpster fire.

either way this sucks on so many levels. i liked spacey. but, i mean, who didn't know he was gay? (he came out in light of all this right?)

it was also 30 fucking years ago.

Blame Spacey. His response to Anthony Rapp's statement was a fuck-up on three fronts.

1. His response was pure publicist-speak which is the worst kind to give in this situation because it was will always sound insincere and not deliver the intended message.

2. As famous as he is, intentionally or unintentionally conflating his behavior with being gay hurts the lgbt community.

3. There's a line in Spacey's response that says "he's examining his behavior." That line sets off warning bells because it's something that a lot of those caught who end up having multiple victims say. This creates paranoia among studios that Rapp won't be a one-off and more people might come forward. They do not want the blowback from that possibility right now.

and I guess the 5 others also needed their 15 minutes

Let them soak up that sweet fleeting sexual assault victim status sunshine they so desperately crave, those egotistical swine, no one will ever remember their names. They try to become immortal by tearing down the monuments we've collectively built for our idols and climbing atop the rubble but all any of them will be remembered as is a hole once coveted by a cultural icon whose name we will remember
