Kudasai Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 Tonight I'll be watching MST3K Experiment 424 aka Manos: The Hands of Fate
Mewn Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Now watching: Rocky Horror Picture Show Sciiiience fiction Double featuuuuure
PurgatoryGirl Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 (edited) Even though I've had it on VHS for more than 2 decades, The Crow is currently airing on El Rey. In another hour, The Craft will be on Encore Suspense. Talk about '90s nostalgia. Edited October 3, 2018 by PurgatoryGirl
Ric Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 (edited) Creepshow/Creepshow 2 Edited October 3, 2018 by Ric
Kudasai Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 (edited) Robot Monster Edited October 4, 2018 by Kudasai
PurgatoryGirl Posted October 5, 2018 Posted October 5, 2018 (edited) I was just watching The Craft, again. Now, I switched to watch Death Becomes Her. Death Becomes Her is actually more of a Dark Humor "chick flick" than anything. Edited October 5, 2018 by PurgatoryGirl
Kudasai Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 King of Thorn Of course I've got work anime into the mix
PurgatoryGirl Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 Over the last 24 hours or so, I haven't really been watching as many films because most of my time has been spent revising some of my stories, along with doing chores. The Slasher Horror Comedy, Student Bodies just finished re-airing on Encore Classic a few minutes ago. That spoof was more than a decade before the SCREAM and Scary Movie franchises.
Bouvre Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 Berberian Sound Studio, which so far is more about a foley artist working on a Giallo film more than it is actual horror. But I love slow, enticing build-up, so who knows what will become of all this screaming and vegetable ripping and smashing
PurgatoryGirl Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 Well, speak of the devil. Encore is currently airing the SCREAM trilogies.
HardcoreHunter Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 Rewatched Night of the living dead, Halloween, and Hellraiser, plan on rewatching Dawn of the Dead and An American Werewolf in London.
PurgatoryGirl Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 (edited) An hour ago, the Sony channel aired the original Evil Dead film from 1981. For more than 20 years, I have been reading and hearing about it. After watching it earlier tonight, I was unimpressed and find Bruce Campbell to be highly overrated. It's only a matter of time until a fanboy or girl gets riled up about me not singing his praises.Watching him in The Evil Dead felt like I was watching Will Ferrell in a Splatterpunk Horror Movie. It's hard to take someone like Bruce Campbell seriously without trying not to laugh, while staring at him. Imagine Family Guy's Peter Griffin in a Horror movie. The Exorcist from the '70s was scarier and more convincing than The Evil Dead. Generally speaking, I couldn't help rolling my eyes, while laughing at how contrived the movie and the acting were in The Evil Dead. After watching The Evil Dead tonight, I'm starting to realize why I always favored Slashers Horror. Slashers are more realistic because serial killers actually exist. PurgatoryGirl Posted October 19, 2018 Posted October 19, 2018 Halloween circa 1978 is currently on AMC.

Now, she' back to acting in this new Halloween movie. I take it that her Activia gig wasn't raking in enough dough like she expected. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the latest Halloween sequel. Or is it another Hollywood reboot?
PurgatoryGirl Posted October 20, 2018 Posted October 20, 2018 I currently have SCREAM 3 playing in the background, while waiting for Fresh Off The Boat to come on in another hour or less. Anyway, back to working on my own content.
jackiemarie90 Posted October 20, 2018 Posted October 20, 2018 Been marathoning all seasons of American Horror story that I haven't seen since beginning of Spooptober. I'm on my last season Roanke. It's spoopy af.

I heard it's supposed to be a direct sequel and picks up forty years after Halloween II. Everything else has been retconned. Edited October 20, 2018 by Fear of a Blank Planet

I might be going to see it tonight.
Phillies Posted October 21, 2018 Posted October 21, 2018 Blair Witch Project rebuild. Movie is dumb as fuck except for the one scene at the end when the girl crawls through the tunnel...
PurgatoryGirl Posted October 21, 2018 Posted October 21, 2018 It's been about 20 years, since The Blair Witch Project released in theaters. I never wanted to see that movie. It looked stupid. 1
Kudasai Posted October 21, 2018 Posted October 21, 2018 Perfect Blue Of all the anime horror films I watched last year this one was by far my favorite so I'm excited to see it again 2
PurgatoryGirl Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 Well, speak of the devil. In a few minutes, Syfy is airing American Psycho. Like seriously? When did a Psychological Thriller/Horror Movie turn into Science Fiction? Not that I was a huge fan of SciFi or "Syfy" (I only watched the network when it aired SciFi Anime, during the '90s and early '00s), but the people running the network should've been fired years ago. The fact that Syfy now airs movies and shows with zero Science Fiction in them is hilarious.

Now watching: Cube. Cube, Event Horizon and The Thing are the 3 movies that scared me.

HardcoreHunter Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 The Thing 2011 Really wish they'd have come up with a better name, makes it a dick to find, since there's The thing, John Carpenters The Thing which is a revision of the old bw one, and The Thing 2011 which is meant to be a prequel to John Carpenters The Thing.
