enad Posted July 17, 2017 Author Posted July 17, 2017 I can't wait until Fugitive 2 where they retcon it so he actually did kill his wife. Quote
StarPanda Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 But he destroyed it when he made that last Indiana Jones movie Quote
enad Posted July 17, 2017 Author Posted July 17, 2017 That was simply the appetizer, in which he acquired a taste for moar. Quote
scoobdog Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 He's been on a mission to destroy his legacy ever since he started acting. Quote
Chapinator_X Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 He treats his acting career like his private jets Quote
nameraka Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 you mean this legacy? also, how excited am i supposed to be about a sequel to a movie that was based on a book for which there was no sequel? Quote
Meilag32 Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 To be fair, he did regain a lot of it by reprising his role as Han Solo in Episode VII. Even if it was just to kill the character and collect a paycheck, it was nice to see Han Solo again on the big screen. Quote
MasqueradeOverture Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 2049's gonna be fucking dope I don't wanna hear it. Quote
Bouvre Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 I've been watching Villaneuve's career since Incendies and have been mostly very pleased with what he's put out. Plus he's bringing back Roger Deakins, who's a class-act cinematographer, so I won't be surprised if I enjoy it more than I expect to. Quote

As much as the ingredients are there for a great movie, the marketing so far has been awful. This shit looks like an action movie, and not only that, but an action movie in which the entire species is at stake -- something that is so obvious for big-budget sci-fi and also something that has been played to death. Blade Runner was never about saving humanity, it was about understanding it. The trailers so far are all about blowing it up, modernizing in such a way that I imagine was necessary to get it greenlit. Quote
