CountFrylock
like right now there's a gerber babies commercial right after HXH ends what the hell?
Gyaos
I always count on the Gerber ad to pop up after a very trippy Adult Swim bump.
CountFrylock
i don't even know why most toonami fans would be interested in clothes sponsored by Amy Schumer
ben0119
Did they make that corn fucker bump because of IBO? ;D

CountFrylock
remember those god awful commercials during children who chase lost voices last month? like that weird Debt Help Ad
ben0119
remember those god awful commercials during children who chase lost voices last month? like that weird Debt Help Ad Yes, still don't know what the fuck was up with that. That debt help ad is something you'd see in deep cable. Scary to see such a low quality ad during Toonami.
Meilag32
During Toonami I've seen those ads that target pathetic singles with promises of talking to attractive women over the phone.
CountFrylock
During Toonami I've seen those ads that target pathetic singles with promises of talking to attractive women over the phone. doesn't really help the image of anime fans
ben0119
doesn't really help the image of anime fans ROFL. Man, I've never seen those ads. Are some of them regional? Then again, I try to focus my posting during the commercials so I won't miss stuff by posting during the shows, so maybe I don't catch all of them. CountFrylock
i just wish the commercials weren't just the same old drug addict trips that adult swims are like "Hey Rip out your teeth for some cigs!" or "Walk-In Bathtub For Ancient Old People"
ben0119
Maybe they're trying to make up for the bad influence of Sanji. ;D Can't say I've seen the walk-in bathtub ones, though.
OwlChemist81
Maybe they got their rates lowered slightly after November's poor performance? But it's still 2 AM-ish that the weird commercials begin, for goodness sake! And of course most noticed them during Children WhoChase Lost Voices so this is really nothing new! PokeNirvash
Part of the enjoyment in watching CWCLV was the random appearance of the ads telling you to pay off your national debt. Made for a fun 4chan discussion, I can tell you that much.
CaptainStarwind
Who could forget the classic Shirley Temple ad that played in the early morning hours back in like 2013? And now we have that Gerber commercial, and a commercial advertising talking to hot girls over the phone. They can't seem to decide whether or not we have significant others (as the Gerber ad implies), or if we're single.
Blatch
My personal favorite ad that's popular right now is the one about taxes featuring Bob Eubanks. The way he mangles the pronunciation of "refund" is always good for a laugh. Between that and the relentless deluge of Taco Bell spots, Toonami seems to know exactly what content I crave. brianycpht
The debt relief ad was creepy. It was mostly during the DST hour that doesn't count for ratings. Therefore, mostly commercials that are local and not sales were airing during that time. It was still creepy as hell

Top Gun
A lot of these ads must be local-market things, because I can't remember seeing many lower-budget sorts recently.
Jman
I thought most were local market. Like "General Auto Insurance!" and other stuff confined to certain areas.
PokeNirvash
You want random local commercials? Try this one for my local hydroponics place that's been airing since 2006 and is filled with so many sexual innuendos it isn't funny. Blatch
Is Bob's Furniture Store a thing outside of the NYC area? Yup. The brand is ubiquitous all around New England.
