MEXobiologist
Since my old lady died a few weeks ago, the house has been very lonely without a beast to snuggle with. We were going to adopt a cat but someone we knew got this lil guy dumped off on their porch in a box with a note saying, "i figured since you already have animals, you could take care of him too." But they couldn't keep him. they already have two cats, two dogs, and three children under five. After two weeks of looking and no good luck, we came along just in time. No one is accepting cats right now as all the shelters are full in the area, so he was going to be put down. His name is Morty.... yes, after Rick & Morty. My momma thought of it and it really does fit him. He appears to be about 14 weeks but we won't know for sure until his first appt next friday. I just love him and we are already the best of homies. He is very playful but still gentle, listens really well, is a total snuggle monster when he isn't running around like a ball of energy, and he seems to have taken a super extra liking to me. eyes on the shoelace prize! aaaaaaaand got it! post play time napz in muh lap <

MEXobiologist
That is awesome. We recently got a cat too, love her. is she a kitten or adult cat? new animals are so exciting! i am so very happy with him. we are considering getting a second one around his age though. i think he needs a buddy for when everyone is at work. a girl i work with, i just found out, has four kittens at 15 weeks that she is also still trying to find homes for. we will decide soon. if so, i want one of her males cuz then we can name him Rick and all will be right in the universe. hahaha! MEXobiologist
Here is my new kitty hahaha! cute though! i want a dog but its just not smart right now. we have a decent size yard for one to play and run in but its not sufficiently fenced and is over my budget to install any time soon. i know some people put them on chains but i'm just not into that. i would feel okay with the current waaayyyyy too short fence and some good training but one of my direct neighbors in psycho. not friendly to animals at all, even their own. which is precisely why i've continuously reported them for neglect and abuse until they were taken away. they were keeping a dog in their broke down van for crying out loud v.v

JeNewBee
has his jumping skills been tested? He is a pretty calm dog He is Staffordshire Bull Terrier not sure if he is something else or not because his paws are huge They had American Staffordshire Terrier at the shelter which are pretty much short Pit Bulls and some had to have their kennels be netted off because they can jump six feet high Staffordshire Bull Terriers are slightly shorter

MEXobiologist
This cat, which i've named Sandwiches, decided it lives here now....so I guess I have a new cat too, however temporarily >.> I think it's home has to be close by because I saw it around the same time last year....i've put up posters... for now i'm just trying to prevent my other cat from killing it...he used to live here with his brother so you'd think he'd like the new company, but no, he hates the thing... That looks like the cheechee from across the street. He thought he could make our home his second home. Buuut the snow fell and now he is inside for once. He a cutie tho. Hopefully your cat acclimates to new kitty until you find its home

MEXobiologist
She's about 8 months, so still little but not so little. We may get another eventually. If you can, I recommend it. I noticed with other kitties I've had, that they say out of trouble when no one is home if there are two. They keep each other occupied.

MEXobiologist
Good to see you got back on. Sorry my phone is fucked up. The moment I saw the text was the moment I posted in that thread. No problem, thank you! I'm in meow and all is well. This time I used the correct password from my arsenal. What it should have been to begin with. Honestly, I have no idea what I did or was thinking when I first made the account. Like wtf? What the hell sort of new shit did I decide to use and NOT at least write down? Must have been not sober. Lol.
CAC
If you can, I recommend it. I noticed with other kitties I've had, that they say out of trouble when no one is home if there are two. They keep each other occupied. That is a good idea.
