  1. I dunno about finding the goose, but dogs seem to need partners. If he's sweet, maybe you could get a dog companion from the same shelter if the goose doesn't come back. Also, is it possible to see if the goose returned to his former residence?
  2. It'll probably be terrible.
  3. There are too many pizza places here. I'm partial to PizzaRev.
  4. Well, that's that. I've always had a problem with the concept of "toxic masculinity" because it seems to be an unnecessary subdivision of a broader class of abuse. It's one thing to raise a boy in 1960 to adhere to rigid gender roles because there was so little resistance from either parent to this approach. In this day and age, trying to do the same encroaches on abuse because it forces boys to adhere to an identity that is not only anachronistic, but asynchronous with social norms. Granted the identity issues don't elicit the same social pariah pressures that an LGBTQ child deals with when being molded into something he or she can't be, but the mechanical attributes of the abuse are the same and recognizing it as such is more constructive in eliminating the class of behavior compared to compartmentalizing it.
  5. And it goes without saying that there is nothing normal about what your father did. Whether or not you classify it as such, that is abuse and it likely reflects abuse your father received. That's not to say he wasn't a loving father or a abusive in general (I wouldn't presume to know anything about him), just that singular behavior is problematic and reflects a dysfunction that is outside of social norms.
  6. It's not true. The idea that fathers tell their sons that it's not okay to cry is absurd. The reality is that men don't encounter situations where they are powerless as often as women do, mostly because of enablement through patriarchal social structuring.
  7. I think we have a new mystery, Scooby gang.
  8. You bring me to shame. That's an amazing amount of willpower.
  9. Most of the cedar chests I've seen have a different wood on the outside for that reason.
  10. I've had the same Jansport duffel for 25 years.
  11. The impossible patty tastes pretty much the same wherever I've had it, though. The taste of the "meat" tends to dominate the rest of the sandwhich.
  12. Has he? Has he really?
  13. Ready to rock, man.

    Just lol

Yeah, it's more unreasonable to expect people to learn the words for every special request. Being someone that tried to communicate in a foreign country, I get what it's like not having the words to explain speciality requests for food.
  15. Yes they are.
  16. I thought cedar chests were supposed to be unfinished. They aren't worth much if the natural odor of the wood is sealed.
  17. It's going to be a good week.
  18. Good start.

  21. That's odd. I believe Pooh has both higher monthly and yearly numbers, and I have All Time and the Top Posters.
